Our beliefs limit us, but they do not limit God. The answer is not “either” “or”. The kingdom of God is within us, now, eternal, heavenly... Salvation is surrendering to the realization that it is hidden behind our selfish ego.

Again, this fits the scriptures, old and new. It is not what the majority believe, but it pulls all the scriptures together with one plan, the plan God had at the very beginning. He always meant the earth to be the eternal kingdom of His people. He never changed His plan. Through Christ He conquered the “ principalities, and power and evil in high places. He destroyed the penalty for our sins by dying in our place. All who accept Christ, receive His Holy Spirit, receive new characters, become new creations fit for the coming new creation. God and redeemed mankind can be forever together on the new earth. This was always His plan.

Salvation is from the wrath of God for sin. So repent and place your complete trust in Jesus, and Jesus alone.

Nietzsche's main critique against Christians, and religion in general, was this focus on a heavenly afterlife, instead of affirming life here on Earth. He considered it weakness and escapism. I agreed with that critique at some point. And any atheist would understandably agree, given they don't think Heaven is even real in the first place. But now I've returned to explore the faith in more depth, and I believe Salvation is multiple. It is the formation of the Kingdom of God here on Earth as this video suggests, and also the triumph against death and life in Heaven after it. It's reuniting both realms, divine and earthly, through following Christ, who had both natures. Salvation is indeed about coming back to communion with God after our fall. But let's remember that even before the fall in Genesis, God put us in charge of the world. So it is evident that part of our duty is to also bring the world in Commumion with God as we go ourselves. A responsibility like this is so great it can no longer be considered escapism.

The word "save" occurs in three tenses in the NT. The past tense refers to being set free from the power of sin. The present-continuous refers to sanctification. The future tense refers to eternal life. Note that Eph 2:8,9 only refers to salvation in the past-tense: being set free from the power of sin. How do we know? Read the context of Eph 2. Specifically, see Eph 2:3 "we were, by nature, children of wrath."

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. :23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; :24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. :25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

*I'm 70 now and have read only the exact same copy of the King James Bible my church gave me in 1961. (This does not mean I was a King James onlyist but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as quickly.) I had memorized many scriptures from it through the years. Then in 2014 I started seeing changes in it that I couldn't explain. I have an exceptional memory, for instance I can draw a detailed picture of my baby stroller. I had never owned a computer or heard of the "Mandela Effect" back then. But after being given my first computer in 2016, I finally found out why I had been noticing all of the oddities that I couldn't explain. I then started diligently studying what should actually be called the ''Daniel 7:25 Effect''. That's where God said He would give the antichrist the power to "change times and laws'' which we now know meant (history and scripture plus laws of physics). We're seeing many end times prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!* *God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.* *God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many brothers and sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in ( proof of bible change residue junkie )* 👈 kzbin.info/aero/PLOTw4zBND_NPf66nKUONLoe2MNFLb5LQr *I've continued to study scripture and have grown MUCH closer to Jesus by learning what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos that document what used to be written in our bibles.* *_May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!_* *P.S. Everyone is going to learn about this one way or the other. I'm just trying to keep as many people as I can from hearing Jesus explaining it to them at the Gate.* ❤✝️💪 *P.P.S. After people have taken all of the required 💉's, they will apply a quantum dot invisible tattoo to their head or hand, but anyone who has had just one has a bluetooth mac # that can be read by any smart phone and when you walk through the deal at an airport they know if you have it. The no buying or selling is happening incrementally and will be complete when cash is abolished and worship can be defined as "to fear, obey and trust in someone or something" which is what they are doing with the Beast System and the Image of the Beast, (NWO and TV!). They also now have triple helix DNA, are no longer human and if they have children they won't be human either! Yes, this absolutely is it, and👉 if you write me at the address on my about 👈page I'll send you 15 **_shocking_** films that will PROVE it to anyone who has the courage to watch them.*

I appreciate what this man is trying to say, but it isnt supported by scripture. Hence the reason he never quoted scripture apart from a sliver of the lords prayer. His thesis instantly falls apart in john 18:36. He is right that the old and new testament isnt about going to heaven. Where he loses the plot is when he never actually read further than surface level, clinging to whatever benefits his predispositions. The old and new testament, in fact, has always been about reconciliation. Not so that God dwelleth within the world, but that he dwells within you. Salvation isnt about "going to the place thats the best", its about being reborn a new and holy creature so that we may have fellowship with our Awesome God.

@kidflersh7807 imma have to watch the original, because he's making it seem in this clip that there is no afterlife and that the bible is just to make things nicer here on earth, when that's not what scripture is suggesting. Maybe I understood him wrong.

He didn’t say believers don’t go to heaven when we die. Imagine buying a new car. All you know about the car is that it’s pretty and runs when you turn it on. What this man is explaining is exactly how and why the car runs when you turn it on like a mechanic would explain it to you. Most people don’t want to hear the technically aspect about a car they just care that it’s pretty and runs well. Same with religion/faith/doctrine. So we go to church once a week to fill up our tanks.

The vast majority of professing Christianity doesn't consider AFTER salvation. Leaders? Teachers? Saints who have kept the commandments of God. R.14:12. Just getting in is the reason the vast majority are the subject of 1John 2:3-4. But alas, they are still eligible, just not Saints close to God.

yup. i think this quick explination is something speficifally mature-in-the-faith understand. i don't think it's wrong for example for baby Christians to connect the dots simply with "salvation means we go to heaven when we die" buuuuut that person should continue growing their theology based on the bible to get to this pont/s made here and actually understand what salvation fully means (as you went through here).

It all depends on your comma placement doesn't it? I mean you could have written, "Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise." That is a totally different meaning from what you wrote. And since there are no commas in the Greek text, you have to consider where you choose to place that little mark capable of changing the meaning of an entire sentence.
@geoffreydebrito7934
@geoffreydebrito7934 8 ай бұрын
Well first of all I didn't place the comma. Secondly, given the context as related, the placement of the comma is much more likely to be correct as I quoted it than in your supposition. Perhaps it's an unfair speculation but I suspect that your (subconscious?) motivation is in avoiding my request that he explain that clear contradiction with his objection to the doctrine of salvation. Can you resolve that contradiction?@@joshuadavidlenon
@joshuadavidlenon
@joshuadavidlenon 8 ай бұрын
@@geoffreydebrito7934 Not avoiding the question. And, I'm not sure there is a contradiction at all. Jesus' words to the thief on the cross were a promise to the thief that he would be with Jesus in paradise. Full stop. The placement of the comma would merely denote a change of timing for the fulfillment of that promise, but not a change in the promise itself. I would imagine a pondered reading of Revelation 21-22 at the end of the Biblical story would give us our best indication of this "paradise" Jesus was speaking of. It is a beautiful picture of heaven and earth coming together as one. God is making his dwelling place "with us' rather than us going up to make our dwelling place "with him". I think this downward descent matters because it is the very direction of Jesus' prayer as Wright mentions in this video "your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven". So, in the end, the thief will be with Jesus in paradise because Jesus is going to restore the very creation he made in the very beginning, and return it to the Paradise it was created to be. And not just that thief, but every one of us thieves who have filled this world with the curse and it's unholy thorns - the very sign and symbol btw that our King wore on his head as the King of all of us "thorn people". The one who came for us (downward descent again) and emptied himself to be like us, so that he could take the curse of death for us, so he could finally and fully say to all of us thieves - "you are forgiven". Is that not the fullness of salvation that all the work of Jesus pointed towards? Every blind person healed, every sick person made well, every dead person brought to life again, every sinful person offered forgiveness... they all point to that restoration of God's good creation. And one day (Rev 21-22) He will fully and finally heal this world and all those who have trusted in his work of salvation and we will be with him in Paradise. Here on this fully healed earth.

@@joshuadavidlenon The comma is placed at the appropriate place the translator thought it would TRANSLATE the meaning represented in the Greek to one understandable in English . Sheol had a place of torment and a place of paradise . Jesus Christ stated no man had ascended to heaven but he that came down from heaven. Faithful Israelites had been promised a physical resurrection from the dead , Jesus Christ was the first fruits of the resurrection and on the evening of his death he was in Sheol

The state of the dead, according to the word of God. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof *thou shalt surely die* {Genesis 2:17} Man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? ... So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their *sleep* O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, *until thy wrath be past* that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, 👉till my change come. ... His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them. {Job 14:10, 12-14 & 21} And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in *my flesh* shall I see God. {Job 19:26} Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, *nor knowledge nor wisdom* in the grave, whither thou goest. {The Preacher 9:10} Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; *in that very day his thoughts perish* {Psalm 146:3-4} Then said his disciples, Lord, if he *sleep* he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, "Lazarus is dead." {John 11:12-14} ... Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection 👉at the last day. Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet *shall* he live:" {John 11:24-25} But go thou thy way till the end be: for *thou shalt rest* and stand in thy lot *at the end of the days* {Daniel 12:13} For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him *should not perish* but have everlasting life. {John 3:16} And *the serpent said* unto the woman, *Ye shall not surely die* {Genesis 3:4} Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down *in the midst of the stones of fire* {Ezekiel 28:14} ^ (satan always turns the tables on God, for he is the father of lies.) The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. *Who* among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? *He that walketh righteously and speaketh uprightly he that despiseth the gain of oppressions that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil* {Isaiah 33:14-15} If anyone errors in their understanding of this doctrine of the dead, then they will in no way be led to the understanding of the truth, for it will be a stumblingblock unto the decernment of spiritual things, including soilterology and eschatology.
