I may have been Asian in a past life most of every thing you listed in this vid and the last one I love so much, that and I took to chopsticks like it was natural when I was younger. I never had hotpot but every time you talk about it I get hungry even if I just ate....... I had to look to see if there was any hotpot places around where I live and was really happy to find there are two places. I told my mom I want to go and she asked what hotpot was, so I told her. She asked why do you have to pay to cook your own food? I said because it is fun. I told my boyfriend and he said yeah lets go some time. Love you guys keep the vids going I would love to see more!

Salty Congee= Congee :D Sweet Congee= That's not Congee, That's a porridge/pudding! I haven't tasted Chinese sweet congee yet but I have eaten Champorado which is basically rice cooked like congee but you add cocoa powder near the end of the cooking stage. Then, you can add either Condensada (Condensed milk) or Evaporada (Evaporated milk) I like them both but I think Congee (or arroz caldo) is better-especially with century egg :P

Oh my God! I totally understand the whole sweet/savory north/south debate! So I'm from Louisiana and the south has grits, a porridge dish made from corn or hominy. As a breakfast side dish, it's usually simple with a little butter and some salt, maybe pepper if you're in my family. But there are actual whole dishes based around it being savory (shrimp and grits). When I got into university, I had roommates and friends that were from more northern US and they either had syrup in their grits or nixed grits entirely for oatmeal and this was a really foreign thing to me! My brain was always savory=grits and sweet=oatmeal but I was actually just horrified when I watched my roommate put maple syrup on her grits at breakfast. It was like, "if you wanted sweet why didn't you just get the oatmeal (we were in my university's cafeteria)?"Is that just a universal thing, that in any country or region southerners prefer salty/savory flavors and northerners prefer sweet?

I LOVE rice so it's hard to switch to quinoa as a healthier alternative. I sometimes mix the two just because quinoa tastes gritty. I own one cheap rice cooker I don't use. I soak my rice for at least 30 mins use a two step process. I boil water in a pot and fit a bamboo steamer on top to steam my rice, after the rice softens, I mix it with boiling water and steam it some more until done. Taste better than any rice cooker!

Bargaining is a lot of fun. Almost everywhere I could bargain that I went to in China and Taiwan, I bargained... I also bargained on canal Street... NYC.

All I have to say is everything you have said in both your videos is so true! I just recently went on a school trip to China, and everything mentioned in the videos is here. Except the basketball thing I don't the kids I saw playing were really good. Oh and something everyone noticed was that people were obsessed with wearing dressy outfits when your like on the Great Wall! That was kinda strange especially when people started pulling out their frilly umbrellas just to show them off really. It was intresting. Your thing on bargaining is annoyingly true. Heck my poor friends they would try to bargain, and they didn't like the price so they would leave. Next thing you know the shop people are chasing you down! Oh and the shop people you would glance at an item and immediately your being offered a price when you wouldn't even want it. I got scared to even look in the direction of a store by the end of my TWO weeks in China. (Oh and also another thing our tour guide pointed out that now a days young teens are tend to literally do gender role reversals. The boys would carry around purse like bags and be kinda girly while the girls would have like short hair and you could almost mistake them for a boy. It was really weird!)
