I’ve been a nucks fan for 7 years now and I have never seen a team as fiery and exciting as this one. I strongly remember turning off the TV while watching with my parents in like 2015 when the Canucks were down 3-4 goals in any game. But now times have changed and… THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS ARE GOOD! Only 7 years? Damn, there are fans like me that have been watching the ups and downs of this team since the early 80s thinking that you have not put in enough time in to really complain about the bad. Consider yourself lucky you never had to endure the mid 80s, the Keenan era or the Messier era. Those were far more brutal times than anything we had to deal with over the last decade.

Quinn is incredible. He's so consistent every shift. He's just that much better than everyone else on the ice that he never has to compromise his play to deal with a particular matchup. I remember watching a few years ago and thinking "yeah I get why people like him, but he keeps getting muscled off the puck." That just isn't a factor anymore. He can play keep-away for possession in tiny spaces and never seems to get tired the way other players do despite being on the ice for as much as 30 minutes. He's always making moves on the blue-line in the O-zone but I don't think I've seen him get pushed offside a single time this year. He will go down in history.

Getting to watch Quinn Hughes play hockey every night is one of the best things we get to do as Canucks fans. Soak it up because it doesn’t last forever. I remember watching the Sedins and thinking .. this will last forever …. It doesn’t. It ended faster than I thought. So now I watch this team and I soak up every minute of not only Huggy but the entire team. We got something special this year and whatever happens I can say Hockey is Fun in Vancouver again. My home town baby ya !!! ** sorry for the run on sentences and rant but ya just love this game and team.

As far as the best canucks of all time, its really hard to say until the smoke settles and their careers are over. However skill wise, i’d say that the trio of: petterson, hughes, and demko are 3 of the most elite players we’ve ever drafted. But only time will tell if their mark is more impactful than other former canucks greats.

I was like, its early in the season, they will pull the same shit and fall off. Then the end of 2022 came to a close and I was still not watching games, cuz now I'm afraid that if I do, they may not win. I think your comment about petterson selling it is so true. It doesn’t even matter if he sold the cross check more or not. It’s being gritty in the most important moments that matters. That’s what will be the difference come playoffs. Can the Canucks deal with not getting penalties called? I think that was the downfall of the 2011 Canucks.

It looks like this year Canucks they can win without penalties. I really hope so. They are the first in the league by scoring 5 on 5. And especially after wins like against NSH when J.T. Miller has sat for six minutes and two of them was because he was cross checked.
