@@PhoenixOrichimaru Actually, this particular track threw me back to Clayman ... but with a somewhat modernized sound. it is like a smooth transition from older 90s Inflames to its new version since 2002. These signature melodic riffs ... yummy. And Stannes vocals are just tremendous as always. That is what I call a supergroup.

After 45 years of my music listening journey, it seems that Swedish musicians are dominating every music genre. Metal, Death Metal, Melo Death Metal, Hard Rock, Disco- you name it. Some examples I can give: At The Gates, Opeth, Entombed, Dark Tranquility, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Arch Enemy, The Haunted, Bathory, Katatonia, Dissection, Soilwork, Therion, Sabaton, Hyprocrisy, Amaranthe, Dark Funeral, Evergrey, Unleashed, Edge of Sanity, In Mourning, The Halo Effect, Eclipse, Europe, ABBA etc. I wonder, So much talents gathered in a single country. I Thank all the bands mentioned above for giving me so much pleasure and make my life so beautiful. - A 56 years old metalhead from Bangladesh.

Absolutly great drummer - but also quite known, so underrated might be too much. The drumming done for Stormkeep last year album is what impressed me most lately. Technical with constant tempo changes that drive the melodies. To hear a drummer so much being in the center of melodies is rare. Surprised if known for a broad audience, although it ended in some underground year end lists.

This song is an absolute masterpiece. Those European riffs are what got me into rock music in 2020 as a hip hop head. I can't say anything major until I hear IF's new album but so far I'm not impressed with their music and haven't been since Battles. I liked that album but I, The Mask was weak as hell. I saw them live in Sheffield on the 25th March, I was more impressed by the opening band, Defects than I was In Flames and that just shows you that if a band that has released two songs publically left a better impression on me than IF did, there's something wrong

I felt "Shadowminds" was decent but left me wanting more. My prayers have been answered! This track is the "Dark Flames In Tranquility" I didn't ask for, but now realize I very much needed. The guitar riffs are CRISPY, it's almost like the guitarists have played together before!?!? /s :) . Stanne as always carries the song with his signature articulated growls. Peter and Daniel are on point as well. Looking forward to maybe hearing some clean vocals from him on the album? It was tough seeing Jesper kicked out of In Flames, and I didn't like seeing Daniel, Peter, and Niklas leave either. However, if I had known years ago that it would result in this masterpiece I wouldn't have really been too sad about it. I'm sure Anders F and Bjorn G would be the first to admit that this song is a banger. I'll always appreciate and listen to anything In Flames puts out as long as Anders & Bjorn are in the band. However, it's obvious that In Flames doesn't really desire to change their sound back to this melodeth sound of 20 years ago. The Halo Effect is one hell of a conciliation prize!!!!I would like to visit some alternate universe where Mikael and Anders never swapped bands to hear how both bands sound would have evolved over the years. I might lose my mind hearing this band live.. Gothenburg sound forever.. EPIC!
