This song is an absolute masterpiece. Those European riffs are what got me into rock music in 2020 as a hip hop head. I stumbled upon A Sense of Purpose by In Flames and was taken away by how sick the riffs were. This kind of music is heavy enough to pack a punch but the melodies make you want to soar. Now I'm more of a metalhead than anything

when the ex-members are still 'loyal & stay true' to their roots instead of having a midlife-crisis & became hipsters than a metalhead.

Wow guys. Just wow. You took me back to the moment I first heard In Flames back in 99 when I picked up Colony at the store. The opening slide and riff of Embody the Invisible, that is the vibe of this song. Love it! Can't wait for the album!!

"Feel What I Believe" Behind the logical within So far from the lines I've crossed, you'll see I'll bring an end to this The fall from something greater Conflicting thoughts result in chaos It's a chaos that is mine If you could only see me now If only you could know And feel what I believe To be real and always true Be what I claim to be lost In the emptiness that haunt me still The helplessness that break me If you could only see me now If only you could know If you could ever understand And feel what I believe I feel it coming I feel it coming to a close Where promises are lies It sets me up For disappointment through and through Where chaos claims the straight and narrow If you could only see me now If only you could know If you could ever understand And feel what I believe The shift in our perspective Leave us further from, withdrawn What causes to this friction Are we accountable for If you could only see me now If only you could know If you could ever understand And feel what I believe If only you could see If only you would know If only you could see And feel what I believe If only you could see If only you would know If only you could see And feel what I believe 🤘🤘🤘

Shadowminds sounded like Dark Tranquillity, this song has more of an In Flames feel... That riff sounds like it could fit on Clayman or maybe even Colony.

Based on the first Halo Effect I was a bit sceptical about this, but through this song I recognize the fire from within shining through the guys. Sure the guys are a bit older, but the passion to do this hasn't disappeared anywhere. Shine on, heroes of my youth, which have grown with me alongside since 1995. Thank you for so many indescribably awesome feelings, which you've been able to create within me - via In Flames, via Dark Tranquillity and now through this. 🙏

It's so nice to see Jesper back with Daniel and Peter. In Flames and Dark Tranquility were a huge part of my childhood and influential in my early days of guitar playing. I just found out about this project 10 minutes ago and I am so damn happy that this exists.

I can't say anything major until I hear IF's new album but so far I'm not impressed with their music and haven't been since Battles. I liked that album but I, The Mask was weak as hell. I saw them live in Sheffield on the 25th March, I was more impressed by the opening band, Defects than I was In Flames and that just shows you that if a band that has released two songs publically left a better impression on me than IF did, there's something wrong

I felt "Shadowminds" was decent but left me wanting more. My prayers have been answered! This track is the "Dark Flames In Tranquility" I didn't ask for, but now realize I very much needed. The guitar riffs are CRISPY, it's almost like the guitarists have played together before!?!? /s :) . Stanne as always carries the song with his signature articulated growls. Peter and Daniel are on point as well. Looking forward to maybe hearing some clean vocals from him on the album? It was tough seeing Jesper kicked out of In Flames, and I didn't like seeing Daniel, Peter, and Niklas leave either. However, if I had known years ago that it would result in this masterpiece I wouldn't have really been too sad about it. I'm sure Anders F and Bjorn G would be the first to admit that this song is a banger. I'll always appreciate and listen to anything In Flames puts out as long as Anders & Bjorn are in the band. However, it's obvious that In Flames doesn't really desire to change their sound back to this melodeth sound of 20 years ago. The Halo Effect is one hell of a conciliation prize!!!!I would like to visit some alternate universe where Mikael and Anders never swapped bands to hear how both bands sound would have evolved over the years. I might lose my mind hearing this band live.. Gothenburg sound forever.. EPIC!
