Yeah, I just heard this song for the first time tonight and when I read the lyrics, it's a very positive message. The fact that it's delivered by a bunch of shrieking lunatics wearing cloaks I assume are made from the skins of their slain enemies should in no way detract from its uplifting nature. All jokes aside, this song isn't evil. It's just telling the listener not to pay attention to the sheep, to go out and take charge of their own life, get out of the mental prison that most people are stuck in. That's my surface take, anyway.

Amazing., only in Scandinavia this music genre can be nº 1 in the charts, nordic people and the rest of Europe too are so much open minded to other styles of Metal than the North Americans, and i´ll vote for Dimmu Borgir to represente Norway in the Eurovision Song Festival, if Lordi can win, Dimmu can too

Pretty accurate. This is only minor nit picking: "Spekdrumm" is "Spektrum" (full name, Oslo Spektrum) which is just the name of the arena they're performing in. "Neste låt ut, gateways" = "Next tune(song) out, Gateways" / "Next track, Gateways"
@diphje
@diphje 5 жыл бұрын
@@WondderWaffel interesting, i didn't know you could use that for tune. Nitpicking is totally fine with me, even apprechiated. Out of interest, is this a certain dialect they are speaking? Because i was only living in the Oslo Area, and i'm having a hard time understanding him.
@WondderWaffel
@WondderWaffel 5 жыл бұрын
@@diphje From my perspective it doesn't sounds like any major dialect. Vocalist is from the Akershus area, so it should be a standard eastern dialect. Which is a pretty normal clear one, like the Oslo dialect. Think it might just be him amp'ing his voice up and down to hype up the crowd, that's making it more difficult to understand for non native speakers. But yeah, there's a few dialects that change the language quite a bit. I'm a northern Norwegian, but the "møre og romsdal" area has some dialects that I understand less of than someone speaking Swedish.
