What makes me wonder: Clearly, they have something they think is worth saying. They have lyrics worth reading and heeding, lyrics worth a few dozens of whatever metal band is big these days.But: This is hardly the most listener-friendly, most accessible kind of music or vocal delivery possible. It's almost as if they don't want every human being alive to get the message - and that's a real damned shame, because this is really something everyone should take to heart.

No other band has made as graceful a transition from black metal to industrial as Samael... totally smooth and not out to fool anyone, in my honest opinion. If you've followed their albums over the years, this was no surprise. Sorry for all you devil-worshipers out there, but Samael grew up... get over it... they did. (Actually, I can't think of another black metal band that tried to make this transition... but I digress. Samael pulled it off, point made.) *shrugs* I dig it.

Just reading the comments and thought I would throw out there that Samael is and always will be, way more bad ass then Powerman 5000 and Static-X combined!!! those bands suck and are heavily marketed and played on the radio!!! The underground will always be better and mainstream simply steals underground ideas. Samael has been around and kicking ass way before those other bands where even thought of. I like everything I've heard from them! Simply Genius!!!

This band brings up a very important matter in the metal scene. That is the ease and zeal with which many metal fans label this and that "sellout", this person or that a "poser". The entire point of individuality is to not follow the herd. A herd is a herd, no matter who the shepherd is or the colour of the wool. If you're a sheep, you're a sheep. Like the Goth kids in school who shun conformity and the masses,.........so they conform to their own, new mass and become a joke.
