I had one eye done just a month ago, and am going to have my other eye done this Friday. The experience was amazing! Drops to dilate the eye, drops to sterilize the eye, drops to freeze the eye. I felt absolutely nothing throughout the procedure, but could see beautiful colours and patterns as the probe worked to break the cataracts. I could also see the lens being placed. There was no pain or discomfort at all. My lens is multi-focus, and it was five days before I could see clearly close up. My distance vision did not appear to have been affected. The lens in my other eye will be adjusted to give slightly more powerful long distance vision, and both eyes will work to compensate each other to restore 20/20 vision. Glasses no longer needed!

@@shubhamdebnath9752 Obviously uneducated on the matter, allow me to explain. You don’t exactly get to decide if you are to get a cataract in the first place. Nobody is perfect and it’s a very common defect of the human race. It can vary from birth to death. You have a higher chance of getting a cataract when you are older but it’s still very common to get one at a younger age. I, for one, had a cataract in my left eye when I was 12 and I had it surgically removed, I was a healthy kid, never had a problem with my eye until out of nowhere that happened. You made a rather rude statement and didn’t think about it. I hope you learned something, thanks.

I had congenial cataracts so I was born pretty much blind. The doctor took out the lenses before I was one but didn't put in new lenses because my eyeballs were not adult-sized. I wore ridiculously thick glasses to compensate. Then when I was 19, I got new lenses put in. What a game changer. I remember crying when I saw individual leaves on a tree 10 feet away. I still like to think back to the days when I wore those thick glasses. Taking them off, my vision was so blurry, I can only make out colors and amorphous shapes. My new lenses give me 20/35 vision but it's the best I've been able to see with and all I know. I'm just grateful to have sight.

Namaste Some facts about cataract 1. Cataract surgery can be performed in any season. The associated myth that rainy season should be avoided can be ignored as advance cataract removal technology and medication is available. 2. We should have cataract removed whenever it starts affecting our daily life and we need not wait for it to mature as that can cause complications. 3. Eye drops cannot dissolve cataract and surgery is the only effective method. 4. Cataract is a day care procedure with fast recovery 5. Cataract surgery can be safely performed even in hypertensive and diabetic patients. Thanks

My dad went through this with an incompetent surgeon. The surgeon broke the lens but for whatever reason couldn’t “finish the surgery” after that, so he just sent my dad home and told him to come back later. After returning home that day, my dad started to develop painful pressure in his head. We called the surgeon and he didn’t know what to do. Then we wanted to take him to the ER but my dad thought could just sleep it off. The next morning the pressure became so bad that he passed out. We rushed him to the ER and it took 9 hours and several hundred drops to relieve the effects. It turns out that the broken lens “fell” and resulted in Glaucoma developing. They had to rush to set up a new surgery that week to fix the screwed up one with a different doctor who actually knows what he’s doing (they were initially going to make him wait a month for this surgery). The second surgery went fine and recovery had no issues. Moral of this is if your loved one is feeling any sort of head pain after going through this, go to the ER immediately. Don’t wait.

Had surgery on both Eyes but my vision is still cloudy due to having congenital cataract . Will be proceeding to laser eye surgery . Wish me luck

I’ve had my done 5 days ago, and it was absolutely flawless. You don’t feel anything. But I’m here cause I have a question for anyone who might know. I accidentally rubbed my eye (not too hard) but didn’t actually touch the eye itself. I just rubbed my eyelids and puts a little bit of pressure on my eye. It didn’t hurt and I don’t see any difference at all. But is that fine? I started to overthink and did my eyedrops right after. No pain, no irritation, nothing. I should be fine, right? Thank you for reading if you do! Please let me know!

Sir my age is 31yrs..i had cataract in my left eye and the doctor told that you need surgery to remove the cataract..at the time of surgery is monofocal lens inserted for the youngsters?because i heard that some side effects are there for multifical lens compared with monofocal lens
@jsweeney445 жыл бұрын
My Dr. said multifocal lenses may fail. Monofocals are the best require reading glasses of 1.75 to 2.25. However they stay the same every year and you won't need s3tronger glasses. I had my operations 5 years ago and still have 20/25 in each eye. I use glasses for my pc monitor. Otherwise for driving, I can see all the gauges and the road without glasses. I can watch TV and read ball scores, news and subtitles at the bottom without glasses. I'm 78 and people are amazed that I don't wear glasses.

Also, reading the bible out loud healed my neck. My bones, joints and whole body felt very much stronger too so definately do it every day. If it can heal necks I believe it can heal anything. Pray every day in Jesus' name and always Tithe faithfully. I've been healed through my Tithing many many times also.

I had done cataract surgery with replacement of eye lens many years ago /2005/. Is it possible that artificial lens became not opaque , eye vision not so good as it was just surgery in 2005. Is there any difficulties for the second time replacement of artificial lens?

How do you even stitch the eye?
@zookeethehunter77903 жыл бұрын
Despite the eye being a sensitive organ, it is still made of strong connective tissue which can be stitched and withstand manipulation
@michellepitman7344 Жыл бұрын
You can stitch an eye I have glaucoma in both eyes a couple of years ago I had to have emergency surgery to relieve pressure or I would of been totally blind in a week and when surgery they stitched me up using proper stitches needle and thread they are still on inside of eye but they removed the ones on outside of eyeball after 18 monthes

10 numbers in your eyes! What do you mean you have 10 eyes? Lol just kiddin and did you mean laser if yes then in my opinion i think laser i mean i have no expierience in eye surgeries i just think lasers are more precise that cataract surgery cuz its done by hand while laser is done by machine but it depends to you and your situation.
