i can see launching with only 3 lbs of boost if you were running a centrifugal supercharger but a turbo should be able to build a lot more boost then that at launch???

I learned while watching this that more timing reduces boost, I never knew that. Neat. If it doesn't make power until 4k why not just launch it at 4k? Afraid of breaking things? Great videos keep up the good work.

They'd be holding it flat on the line. The combo thats in it just wont stall that high, to go quicker it either needs the converter modified to allow the motor to rev higher at a standstill or use the converter they have with more power/torque around the converters stall speed (they were talking about using nitrous in the video to get it to come up on the converter, and is also why they were playing with the timing to see if it would respond how they wanted)

Watching it after what you boys told me in person just made it even more exciting to watch. That's a freaking lightswitch with the turbo coming on like that. Now it's making me want to experiment/break the budget more so I can test and compare and get that correct combination. 🤔
