With area rainfall like that, it's just a matter of time before those beautiful islands also become atolls. They sure are eye-candy for the moment though.....thank you two for these neat videos.....

what did they want to charge for visiting the village? Did they offer a tour or was it just a shakedown? I imagine they have more and more cruisers showing up these days.

What was that nifty contraption at 6.12 to feed the anchor line over the transom? Love your videos, which I‘ve just discovered and have binge watched over the weekend, along with the blog. Would love a bit of info about your journey prior to departure from Britain. What you both did for a living and how you got yourselves into the position of being able to leave it all behind and your prior sailing experience, as you both seem far more competent, natural sailors than many cruising vloggers. Also love your dinghy. And the fact you fly your spinnaker at the slightest provocation.

Swell bridle is one trick, another is to use one or two flopper stoppers off the boom and/ or spin pole. I an wondering about your dinghy. How did a couple of Brits come up with a nesting dinghy from a company in North Carolina? Your dink looks great, are you finding it strong enough for all the use you are putting it to? You have the 9 ft Spindrift, when it is nesting, what is the lenght and width of the boat as it sits on your foredeck? Have you had any issues with the dinghy if you take water over the bow? Could one person launch and retrieve it? Thanks for your videos.

Hi, it was light winds and crowded in the bay, causing the boats to spin round when the current in the bay changed, so we felt a stern anchor worked best in the conditions. Luckily we haven't had to put up with any swell in anchorages since. We have tried a flopper stopper off the boom in the past but not a swell bridle, I'm sure time will allow! We searched for several nesting dinghy plans and thought the Spindift was best for us in the space we had on deck. We have some blocks we bolt it to on deck to help hold it in place when we strap it down and haven't had any problems yet. The dimensions should be available on their website. We would struggle to launch and retrieve it alone but it would be possible if there was no other option. Hope that helps.

You don't need a second anchor and rode. Set a swell bridle. Never heard of it? Google "swell Bridle". The old youtube channel "Jake and Jill adventures" has a great video showing how it's done.
