ALL these years hearing of Our LORD's sacrifice, I'm more aware now than ever of the enormity of HIS Love! I become breathless and speechless @ times. HE won! He did it for you and me! We can't beat HIS "giving" and I'm not referring to money. Thank you LORD!!

Pastor Skip - thanks for explaining “vicarious atonement”. I see a lot of criticism from non-believers towards Christians saying how can you worship a God who is so bloody and brutal with so much slaughter of innocent animals. And it’s because they don’t understand this concept of remission of sins only by the shedding of innocent blood. It must have been a horrible sight watching these animals get slaughtered - but then again it also must have been a horrible sight watching Jesus being nailed and crucified on the cross. “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” His love and mercy and grace for us truly is infinite to have endured our hell for our sin.

Skip is probably going to mention this later in the video because he always does that when I comment before the video is over, but has anyone else really considered how important their calendar was to them? They couldn't just say, "Okay, Google. Remind me to roast some lambs at twilight every day" like we can say today. I'm not sure how their calendars worked, but I'm assuming they must have scratched tally marks on something or written with something to track the days. Maybe they used stars. I really don't know, but what I *do* know is that it would have been a much more difficult task than it is today. And I like to believe that's another reason why God repeats Himself in these two chapters. Not only is it a new generation, but it's a rather complicated system. There was a lot for them to take in and remember, and on top of remembering what to offer when, they had to know when was... well, WHEN. He wanted to give them the best possible chances of getting it right. Seeing as Israel is still alive today and the Gospels exist - and Jesus Christ our Messiah lived and breathed and died and rose on this earth - it looks like they accomplished the task, and I don't know about you, but I'm sure grateful for them. Thanks, Pastor Skip. I'm so loving these studies!

My Dad worked 24/7 in his hardware store in the 1950s; he eventually became an alcoholic and then alheimers, then he died at 57 of a stroke and double pneumonia at home in his bed on April 1st 1970. The doctor said he looked 84. Buried him at Luis Lopez grave yard.

Is there a meaning to the number of animals that were killed? If there isn’t then why are so many that were sacrificed? And were the animals killed used for food for the feast?

The 7th day Sabbath on Saturday is still in affect for All! Adam and Eve were not Jewish, no separation of nationalities happened until after the flood, so when God created the 7th day of rest at creation it was meant to continue as so. 'Man' is who changed the day of rest to Sunday, not the Bible. We should continue to honor and observe Saturday as day of rest, church fellowship and no buy or sell on Saturday. Satan has many decived on this. I was one of them, used to go to church on Sunday but now go on Saturday. God bless.

Believers are spiritual Jews 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

God gave us ten commandments and He said remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. Why is it that in our generation some Christians don't observe the Sabbath which is Saturday but they said everyday but everyday is not Sabbath the day of rest for God and Man who created the heavens and the earth. In the old testament in Leviticus, Numbers and others he keeps on repeating to tell the Israelites to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. We cannot just say it's for the Israelites alone. Anyone who comes to believe in Jesus Christ needs to observe all the commandment given to them.

The 4th commandment is written by the finger of God to be obeyed along with the other 9 if you do what you are commanded to do. Not in a legalistic way but you would be obedient to GODS Law because you Love Him and worship Him because he is the one true God who created the Heavens, the earth, the seas, and all that is in them. The Sabbath day was set aside, hallowed and blessed by God to be obeyed. Thats why its the 10 commandments and not the 9+1 commandments. Man changed the Sabbath from the 7thj day to the first day. Jesus observed the Sabbath as well as the church in the book of Acts. Nowhere did God change the Sabbath.

Yeshua only taught fro the OT, He never used the NT to teach from at all. Yeshua was constantly being told by the Pharisees that He was not observing the sabbath! The early church started using the First day of the week to worship and we do well to look at that!

@tiurhoward8698 what are you trying to communicate by posting theses verses without explanation?
@dnic3158 жыл бұрын
By the way What Paul is referring to in Galatians isnt disobedience to Gods Law, he is refering to the feast days that was commanded in Numbers. There are some who keep the feast days and most who dont. I personally dont keep the feast days. As far as pastor Skips reference to being saved by grace and not of works In Ephesians 2 8-9 keep reading through verse 10. Im not looking to start an argument but man the Christian church needs to read their bibles and meditate on the word of God. Dont just listen to a guy on the platform search tje scripturws yourself for God's truth.

dnic315 you seem to have a very legalistic view of the Scriptures. I am assuming that you are a very young person with not a lot of Bible study behind you. Do you know that the Commandments were given on Sinai to the Children of Israel? They were NOT given to the Church? Again go back and LISTEN to what Skip actually says as you seem to be making a few errors here. Also you are criticising a brother in Christ which is quite a serious thing to do. If Skip was in error then fair enough but as far as I can see everything he said lines up with the Scriptures unlike what you are saying and you are twisting Scripture to fit your personal ideas.
@dnic3153 жыл бұрын
Margaret you are a gentle and kind soul in saying you believe Im young. In terms of being naive with scripture I know I still have alot of learning to do but I have been studying scripture for quite a while. Many Christians believe that Gods comandments have been "nailed to the cross". His moral law of the 10 Commandments have never been done away with at all. Mathew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Fulfil in greek means to finish or complete (to live out). Jesus came as an example to show that Gods law can be lived out in our lives. If we have a personal reltionship with Him then we then will WANT to live in obedience to The law. Read John 15. You said "Do you know that the commandments were given on Sanai to the children of Israel? Yes I do. Very much aware of that. But it wasnt just the Israelites who were there. There was a mixed (mingled) multitude. Exodus 12:38 Many Egytions left with the Israelites. Egyptians also saw the plagues that God had placed on Egypt. Many of them mus'tve believed That God the Creator was the true God. When God created the world, He created man on the sixth day then rested. Mankind rested with God on the Seventh Day. Btw were no Israelites at creation. God created Adam. In Hebrew this means Ruddy or mankind. (Not Israel) The name Israel doesnt even come into play until Exodus 32 when God gives Jacob (the deciever) the name of Israel. So up to that point there were no Israelites. Also God's law has and always will exist. If Gods law wasnt in existance (before Sinai) then how do we have sin. Didnt Adam and Eve sin against God when they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Didnt Cain, when he killed Abel get punished by God? If Gods law wasnt a Law till Sinai then God mustve been wrong to punish Cain. Also when Joseph turned away from his masters wife, who wanted to seduce him, why would he say that he cant sin against God.(Gen 39:9) All way before Sinai. Btw Gen 26:5 says that Abaraham (Father of many nations, not just one nation) Obeyed Gods commandments. Again way befor Sinai. Btw God wrote His law on tables of stone with His finger. Moses wrote the ceremonial laws that were nailed to the cross. The ceremonial laws of sacrifice were done at the Cross because they all pointed to Jesus. Thats why we have no sacrificial system now. Btw Jesus observed the 7th Day Sabbath. He also says the Sabbath was made for man (not just Israelites) He also says that He is LORD of the Sabbath. When God spoke His law on Sinai, the 4th commandment gave says to Remember (to be mindful) the Sabbath Day and keeep ot holy(set apart, concecrated, different) and not to do any regular work like money making activities etc) work on that Day. Their sons, daughters, their servants, strangers or animals. Read the 4th commandment. God wants The 7th Day Sabbath for everyone and animals. (I checked and animals are not Israelites wither) Also after Jesus had ascended into heaven shouldnt he have said something to the disciples about the Sabbath being changed from the 7th to the 1st day. (Sunday) He never did because the disciples Remembered the Sabbath throughout Acts. Read for yourself. 1 John 4:8 says that transgressing Gods Law is a sin. If Gods law was done away with at the cross then Jesus' life, death and resurrection means nothing. Do you agree with that Revelation 14:12 in speaking about those who spend Eternity with Jesus says "Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. John 14:15 Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments. In Jesus prayer to His Father tells us what eternal life is John 17:3 Eternal life is to know (intimately through relationship) the One True God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. If we know him we will desire to do what he commands. If we are relying on our works to save us then we will be lost. Im sure Skip is a Godly man. Ive seen lots of his teachings online, so if my original comments came off as critical I apologise to him first and anyone else who may have been offended. Jesus is the one who died for me, I will follow him, and not what a preacher(any preacher from any denomination including my own) on a platform tells me to believe. This is a daily walk and when He comes again 1Cor 15:51-58 I want to go home with him. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Also Im not sure how Remembering (observing) the biblical Sabbath day is legalistic when He has given us a day off and a special time with him to REST. To do good works, fellowship with one another, spend in his quiet creation. The Sabbath is truly a delight for me and millions of others. For millions more they Keep the Saabath out of obligation or as a legalistic way to get to Heaven. BTW legalists wont be there Jesus is my Savior and I should allow Him to also be my Lord. Revealtion 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. God bless you Margaret Have a great Sabbath Day.

Thank you Pastor Skip for another wonderful teaching. I am sure you know but the words, "HOLY CONVOCATION" mean a "Dress Rehearsal." Which is a Dress Rehearsal of when the feasts will be fulfilled by Yeshua, as the feasts were only a shadow of things to come! Simply amazing how the feasts all speak of Yeshua, what an amazing and mighty Gd we serve. Also Jesus is NOT the Greek translation of Yeshua. Jesus is a transliteration and has NO meaning whatsoever. There is no J in the Hebrew Alephbet and the English did not used to have a J in our Alphabet either. The J was borrowed from the German which is pronounced as a Y and the S on the end of the word is from Greek and means it is a masculine tense, there is more but I am just making a point. YESHUA on the other hand has a meaning SALVATION! No one ever called Yeshua "Jesus" it is just a made up name with no meaning. Yeshua is the correct Name.
