The concept is enjoyable, but the problem was it wasn't done blind because of Pierre. He controlled the entire draft by forcing everyone to reveal their picks for every spot and an element of it needs to be blind where they can't reveal who's going to be next on their respective lists so they can make mistakes or feel the pressure of having to use their challenges in the first place.

Much love guys but as a day one fan is frustrating that one of every two times you decide to make a list of any topic y’all have different criterias which makes each list vastly different. Pierre saying that he didn’t count in Trae or Herb because they are about to turn 26 is something that you should’ve discussed in y’all groupchat before making the list, so the criteria is the same for everyone. I’m saying this because it has happened in the past as well that y’all differ in the way you make your lists, which then causes confusion in the show when you’re talking about it because one guy considered X while other guys don’t. Anyways, it doesn’t affect the content too much but it if y’all could set the criteria before making the list it’d help the content and get a better understanding of why X player is above/below Y player, and it doesn’t take almost any time.

For next time, you guys should each send in your top 25 list beforehand and then create an overall list that uses the averages. Then you can do the reveal from bottom to top, and each person gets two player contests. During a player contest, you can debate with the group for a player to move up/down the list. Let’s say you have Maxey at 10 and you want him higher. You first debate for him to go above Trae at 9. If you win that, you debate for him to go above Zion at 8. And you just keep doing that until you lose a debate. Same process to move someone down. By having an average list to start with, you at least know who you’re arguing for a player to be higher/lower than. It makes that process a lot easier. Also, maybe use a whiteboard or put the ranking on the screen (doesn’t have too big) so it’s easy to follow.

Why don’t yall just get a consensus list and debate it while revealing it. Number 1 would get 25 points (in this example) and number 25 would get 1 point for everyone’s lists. BOOSTING! This is THE WAY to do any top 10, 25, etc. lists because everyone makes their own lists and contributes to the full group list that is revealed 25-1. That way when a player gets revealed at a spot, they can just say where they had them in their lists individually and then discuss the player. SUCH a better method than doing whatever this concept was, or even the old concepts as it avoids confusion for the guys and the viewers.

Here’s an idea that would make a ranking like this go a bit smoother, which I stole from a podcast I listened to years ago called the Top 10 Podcast. Divide your players into tier groups (1-5, 6-10….21-25). One of you starts by revealing the players you have in your 21-25 tier one by one. If you all have a player in the same tier, discuss that player. If someone has that player in a higher tier, wait to discuss that player once y’all get to that next tier. Once everyone gets through their first tier, move to the next one and repeat. At the end, once everyone’s revealed their full lists and discussed all the players, then you can go through and determine the consensus list.

Giannis's game is gonna translate just fine late into his career. He doesn't need to jump high to be effective. Instead of being 61% from the field he'll be 50%-54% from the field. He has a ton of height, wingspan/length, strength, passing ability, ball handling at his size, etc. He may not be the ridiculous 30 & 60+% from the field that he is rn, but he'll be insanely effective on both ends regardless. I've seen it in games where his hamstring or calf is hurt, and, as such, couldn't jump as high or run as fast. Like Lebron is still largely a guy who succeeds offensively off of his athleticism, size, strength, and length, and he's almost 40. No reason Giannis can't be very similar

damn.. Cade counted twice.. I appreciate the effort and I think the list could be done this way but needs more structure. Maybe next time: ya'll do a top 30 (because theres gonna be names that others dont put), have a weighted score per position on the list. Sum up the points for each player and rank the top 25. Then, reveal the list as you go.. and you all have a contest to push someone higher or lower based on what you see

I can hear Mike’s fit from here
@emanuelcarrera65384 ай бұрын
For these larger lists it maye be easy for everyone to submit their own list then have one NOTB comprehensive list 1-25 based on the average ranking. And as you go through each player that is at their respective rank you can discuss “Oh I actually had him higher because…” or “His ranking seems skewed because someone ranked him really low..”. PickaSide did this for their top 10 NFL teams recently.

Youngest player in the league last yr showed himself capable to explode for up to 44 points, always create his own with a deep bag, huge athletic frame, slashes through contact and doubles, and similar box score numbers to Keegan Murray already.. GG Jackson is coming y’all

I liked this format a lot.. i just think it should've been kept as a blind draft with only players that were skipped being able to be exposed

Is it possible for you guys to put a retrospective graphic list on the screen when y’all make a list, like when yall do top 5’s or redrafts it would be cool to see y’all’s pick under where yall sit or over your heads.
