I recently found a pair of nunchucks that someone had given me in the 80's. I should try to do something with them.

Most of the basic moves I taught myself, pre-KZbin, in the early 80s.

Awesome Paul. That’s the truth about the chucks. They aren’t complicated. You just have to get past the fear of cracking yourself in the head or jewels.

@@pasquinilli Oh, I've hit myself in the back of the head more than once. I'm going to have to make another pair to replace the last ones I had. I downsized a few years back and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I'd made them back in '82 or '83 from a cut broomstick, some hockey tape, a small length of chain and some eyehooks. I can recreate them (or improve on the original design.)

"you will hit yourself a lot". Yeah, no kidding. Lol. You'll also drop them a lot too. Like a TON. Great weapon but yeah they can be unforgiving.

They sell padded ones ,I’ve seen them .

They do. But you won’t learn well with them. Faster to learn by hitting yourself and learning from it. Thanks!

I wanna đó nunchucks but I would have to wait for three years because that’s when I’m a black belt
