Some nice shots. Once you have a appropriate ND and shutter speed set. I would recommend pointing at the brightest bit of sky. Setting iso to lowest. THEN setting to auto iso. That way it would adjust exposure for you just enough so you don’t get clipped highlights. And keep your shutter under control. (Many of your shots clipped badly when looking towards sun)

I would also suggest using the Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K. A great camera. It’s much much much smaller and lighter. It lacks a built in screen however. But it would save you some weight and thus increase your flight time! Thanks for all of your hard work. It also supports remote camera control. It’s intended for Drones and the like. It would be very cool to see you use one of these bad boys. Edit: I just read on Blackmagics website that you can attach a receive to the expansion port located on the side of the Micro Studio 4K and map it to your remote. So you can control your camera from your radio. So awesome!

I can't be the only one that was waiting for a power loop over one of those bridges? Or a spin move looking back as you flew passed your car? I mean the cinematography was sweet, the music was perfect, and the flying was as smooth as a babies butt. I subscribe to the channel and really enjoy the videos. I know you had that scare with the hanging branch but the title of the vid is that Nurk freestyled a Black Magic Cine Camera, and in that aspect it was a bit underwhelming and kind of disappointing. Had it been titled something like, "Sweet drone footage with a Black Magic Cine Camera", I would have watched it and liked it even more, as it would not have been mislabeled.
@ZPFunk4 жыл бұрын
I felt the same way. But when I tried to imagine flying my expensive gaming pc over water and powerlooping a bridge. I was a little less disappointed. I was feeling like calling click bait myself, but all things considered, we'll see what we get when the confidence level is increased.

Looking good NURK! I just recently built a Thicc running INAV. I built mine for a completely different purpose though. I am using the very stable/capable lifter platform to build a custom ultrasonic thickness inspection drone. It will be used to fly up of the side of towers and water tanks to get thickness readings fast and efficiently. I’m having to design some custom mount for the instrumentation, but the thing is preforming very well so far. Looks like you have gotten that one pretty dialed in yourself. What is the largest battery/batteries you run on yours?

Another great video Nurk! I thought of a video idea for you, if you have the time, or maybe just a discussion video. Equipment vs. skill would be the topic. The idea being, if you had a competition of sorts between you and another person who was like minded in filming, but maybe not as skilled drone wise. The competition being them with a beast of a drone setup (some risk involved) and you with slightly or noticably less of one; both competing to get the better shot or shots at a given location(s). You could even let the audience decided, and give comment on what in particular they liked more or less. Just an idea, feel free to use it as you see fit, if at all.

Im not sure, but I might have noticed jello converted to blur by ND (opimizes shutter) on thin lines, poles, small bright spots change shape (mostly horizontal) due to resonance - things going in and out of focus, especially during turns. Not sure if its just KZbin compression or jello - distant "slow moving" objects are not that crisp sharp. I admire these project of yours guys!

This seems to be a popular thing to say but regardless of KZbin compression, you can still tell the difference between this and GoPro footage. There's clear difference in shadow and highlight detail, plus the sky was slightly over-exposed and it still looked decent, much better than any over-exposed GoPro footage.
