These are lessons I had to learn thirty years ago to get over chronic depression and anxiety. I learned to check my environment for triggering influences. I learned to release "self" and listen to my inner spirit not the chatter in my mind. Good talk. Thank you for sharing.

I’ve seen people recover 100 different ways. Makes me think they just recovered and what they were trying seemed like the it was the answer. But they just recovered anyway. Glad Rob is feeling great again. Hopefully I’ll find my way back.

I promise most people don't heal by accident or by time. I have worked with people and seen people make huge progress within a few weeks. If the methods didnt work then they wouldn't have healed. I also see them relapse when big stressors return in their life. and I will coach them back again and they will heal again. Nothing special about my coaching. BELIEVE you can heal. POLYVAGAL EXERCISES ROUTINE. REDUCE ALL LIFE STRESSORS. Consume POSITIVE RECOVERY STORIES. Find someone who has healed and ask them if you can pay them for 30 minutes of there time (not a coach like me) and facetime them. You will see a pattern in all these recovery stories. You will NOT see someone say I healed by going to crossfit, or by working more, or by running.

Exactly, I think we need time to recover. The most important thing is not overdoing it daily, do as much or as little activity as you can, listen to your body it will guide you. Eat healthily and cut out alcohol & smoking etc if they are your vices. Personally I’ve found cold water immersion is beneficial.

I cannot hear the word Rob says around 9 minutes in - he tried some exercises but what did he try?!I respect his attitude of seeing everyone as of value, his humility etc. I have had Covid for over 2 yrs now - v v severe Covid then 'Long Covid' which is still around & symptoms are weakness ie tired after a little walking or effort, breathlessness after little effort etc. I wonder if I will ever be as strong as I was...

As I was listening to you I immediately thought that you must be religious And then you said you are I don't know how anyone can get through this world without believing that there is a God that created all of us. He loves each and every one of us He created us And he gives me the air to breath every second And makes my heart beat Id I woke up this morning that means he believes in me And that there is a reason for me in this world. Even if I don't understand why I'm suffering I believe that the Creator is greater than me And he has all the power in the world to change my life He is probably trying to teach me something. Like u said - self love. Believing in changes Acceptance Appreciation And this is the way we learn how to be better people So thanks for the inspiration!
@Roberto-Escobar7 ай бұрын
Faith and believing that he will take care of me was big in causing me to have peace of mind and heart. Without relying on the creator it would have been extremely difficult for me to heal, for me at least.

I thought polyvagal was somatic type exercises. Nothing to do with meditation and breathing ??? Isn’t polyvagal getting to know your nervous system. ?
@livingwithmecfs10 ай бұрын
There is a link in the description to a video Rob made which explains polyvagal theory. That may help answer your questions
@Roberto-Escobar7 ай бұрын
Polyvagal is a framework of a new understanding of the nervous system. Understanding this for me helped me understand why I was sick and made sense of everything.
