Nursing as a Second Career

Dawn is among the many people looking for an opportunity to pursue nursing as a second career. She shares the qualities of a good nurse that draw her to the field and her experience working in an office that exposed her to the kind of work that nurses do.

These formative features are what make Dawn say that nursing as a second career can be an achievable goal. She mentions that she is able to do her schoolwork and also care for her 10-year-old son, much like her fellow nursing students who have toddlers. Dawn also commends the nursing attitude that inspired her, admiring that nurse “don't care about anything other than doing the best thing that they can do for their patient”.
