Interesting to learn how building was constructed years ago - thanks for the video!

That has to be the weirdest chimney I have seen yet...

It certainly was. The architect sure wanted that chimney to come through the roof at the ridge. They had to build a brick pier across the hall to hold up the offset chimney.

Thanks for the update, John. If one watches closely, it's clear that the priorities are: 1. Keep all the mixed debris out of the masonry. 2. Separate all the masonry possible without getting other debris mixed in - this is clearly important since he spends some time pulling out chunks of concrete floor slabs. 3. Separate the substantial chunks of metal, especially the copper, and as much of the lighter stuff as can be easily separated. This is no doubt driven by disposal costs and regulations. It would seem, since he's still employed there, that his employers think he's doing a good job of it, and the economics of disposal make care in separation more important than speed.

He should be using a selector grab if material separation is a priority. A bucket with a thumb is very much 2nd choice.

Got to get the title as the worlds slowest operator 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤷🏽♂️

I agree 💯

I agree with the other viewers' comments. Operator rakes through the rubble dragging the bucket back and then promptly pushes it all forwards again. Sometimes a small piece of iron piping is removed. Surely another workman could pick out those bits and chuck them on a heap - it doesn't need a huge excavator. Glad to see stuff is being salvaged though.

The operator would seem fairly new thru more then just because he's trying to keep materials separate. When in the kill zone he hesitates and is weary of his actions. Thru this bucket is not the best for this kind of destruction as well. Half way thru and ready to nap. But thanks for the video.!
