@Salma Speaks I work as a nurse intern at this hospital. I float and I’ve been on the unit many times, loved it, and applied. I made sure I made a good first impression on every unit I go to, being open and asking questions and being super helpful. They liked that so when I applied it just fell right in my lap.

I love hearing about what you do in clinical! I just started clinical and I got to put a catheter in on my fourth day, remove a central line, and have done a lot of IV related stuff. Literally so cool!

tf in my rn program the first couple months was just bathing/helping patients and changing beds, feeding patients etc. even through my 3rd clinical rotation we were not doing stuff like that at all

@@xshannonashleyyx that’s nuts! We do that stuff too but we also act as the patients nurse pretty much completely, giving them their meds and hanging iv bags and everything like that. Under our instructors supervision of course

I had a 2.4 gpa in business 10 years ago. After a stay in the hospital I said I wanted to work there. I became a patient transporter less than a year later. After working there for a year I decided I wanted to be a nurse so I went back to school. I now have a 4.0 and my nursing program starts fall 2021. So nervous!

I recommend the lotion brand called HEMPZ (it does not have any THC or CBD if concerned) to use for sensitive skin. I have eczema and it helps so much it actually decreases the amount of breakouts I get where I have eczema problems. The smell is amazing, it is on the expensive side but definitely worth it. They have 2 different kinds, the normal moisture and triple moisture (which I recommend for dry sensitive skin) they are fragrance free but have a small smell just because of the ingredients.

Kinda weird but the j&j creamy baby oil lotion it’s in a green bottle is the only thing I can use on my legs after I shave. Everything else burns and my skin is not crazy dry. I also like to use it on tattoos after they heal to keep them looking bright and not flaky and dry. The Josie maran oils are so awesome too. That helps a lot after shaving or if you have really dry heals etc.

Get those grades in science and take biology, chemistry and if you are good at it physics! I made the mistake of really slacking on those classes and even if you don’t go into nursing there are so many other awesome careers you can go into with just those courses from high school alone!
