At my facility we remove the ultra site valve prior to blood draw. Obtaining labs with valve on, can splits cells especially if one is collecting CBC sample.

is this only good for drawing up blood into one tube ? do i need to repeat the whole process if i have multiple tubes to fill?

This feels very inadequate. I don't feel that the drawing methods (push-pause versus agitating) are explained well. There's not a robust scrubbing of the hub is one of the most important parts, nor mention of how long. There's also a few ways to draw blood from a central line.
