I didn’t wash mine but I did an Oxine dip and put a little Oxine into the water in the incubator. I did a dry hatch after the first few days when I found out about it. I got 9 out of 10 hatched. I just added new eggs to start my next batch. I also did the old wives tale of rounded eggs equals hens. I got 7 girls and 2 boys. Actually the directions for the 360 say pointy end towards the center. I used a Govee thermometer/hydrometer in the center to check the temp because this incubator is notorious for being 1/2 to 1 degree off either direction.

No scientist here BUT my method has worked tremendously and have had 95% hatch rate *3% hydrogen peroxide in spray bottle with water *let sit on counter fir 18-24 hours *humidity holds at 38% *day 18-21 hold humidity at 75% Works for me every time. I have experimented with this a few diffenret ways. This is the best hatch rate FOR ME

95% is EXCELLENT! I had no luck with holding humidity :( I'd have it steady as could be and hatch rates were always in the 30's

I'm sorry, there's not. About a week after this video was posted, a wind storm equivalent to a tornado took out our entire farm. So unfortunately this hatch was terminated prematurely 😔

Thank you for this helpful video. Had a 32% hatch rate on my first and I also washed the eggs. And regulated the humidity daily. Was stressful at times. I will definitely try the dry hatch method for the next batch.

With this incubator also the position of the eggs is important. Try pointing them inwards, with the tip to the inside. This will help them roll in the proper direction while it is turning the eggs. #Minortip

If you watch my latest video you'll find that unfortunately we lost everything in a bad wind storm with 70mph winds. So sadly, this batch was executed less than a week in :( we officially have no shelter for livestock so any aninal projects are on hold until we can rebuild

Why are you washing your eggs?? That’s VERY risky. I say no. But, my eggs are clean to begin with.

A lot of people opt out of washing, no judgment here. I wash for several reasons. Bacteria is only introduced to the embryo via shell if bacteria is present in the incubator so obviously it's vital to begin with a clean incubator. darker eggs are harder to Candle than white eggs. at that time there was an immense amount of rainfall so the chickens brought in mud to their nesting boxes and I went from a 32% hatch rate to 73% hatch rate after washing with peroxide so I suppose... tomato / tomahto :)
