@dasmonkeyman Understood and thanks for the comment. I could easily triple the amount of videos I have by breaking them into smaller sections. That is not serving my subscribers well and I wouldn't like that: I try to consolidate the material as best I can. The content drives the length, nothing more. Please feel free not to watch however if it's too long for you. Thanks for coming out though, no hard feelings at all.

What a well spoken, absolute truthful video! Nutn, you are such a great example to learn from! I've done explosion testing out in 100 degree Texas summers and am currently doing fire testing in the same heat. Hard, rigorous work physically/mentally and what I miss most are those dependable coworkers from previous companies. I've been getting real frustrated lately but this video hit the spot and I feel confident knowing eventually my work will pay off. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Great vid, most excellent advice. My mom died when I was 12, which led to fear of failure in myself. That fear of failure led me to be extremely successful in pursuing my dreams. I found that I was NOT smarter than most, but my fear of failure led me to work harder than my competition - whether that be other students in college or peers at work. I was willing to put in the work, the time required to be the best, where I found most of my fellow students and work colleagues were not willing.

Fantastic! I want to pass these lessons onto my kids. Particularly the one about ignoring the naysayers. We set ourselves the goal of relocating from Perth to Salt Lake City by the end of 2010. The kids have watched me establish a network in North America, find a business opportunity, go through the immigration process and now we're selling up and preparing to move. It's easy to get discouraged, especially when people say you're going to fail. Your awesome videos have motivated me! Thanks

This vid simply rocks Nutn! It resonates so well with me. My father raised me on the farm and taught me many of these same lessons about working hard, doing a job right, not "half assing" my work, and being a loyal and good employee. My limited experience (I'm in my 20s) has shown some good and bad examples of how to work and I have found many of your points here to be spot on. I have and will continue to advocate this to students/interns that I advise as they enter the workforce.

Trying to get these teens to do a job well enough that I don't have to do it myself after they are "done" is beyond difficult. It's often easier to just do it myself from the start. I'm really not much older then these people I oversee but it feels like I'm from a different time some days. I try my best to come down hard but it's not as easy as it sounds sometimes. I think they honestly think they are good workers. Anyway, rock on dude. love your content.

My dad is a pyrotechnician here in illinois, and ever since i was 14 (I just turned 18 in july) he's been teaching me how to set up the best display fireworks shows. when it came to work, we always had the same ethic in mind "do something that makes you and everyone in the crew look good, and make the crowd scream" and the past few shows we have had, we hit a few roadbumps, but we kept the crowd screaming. im very proud to do what i do, and i wouldnt be there without my father Dan Sr.

@damnindian1 Good comment my friend...sounds like he passed the work ethic on to you as well. Great saying I forgot to include (will put it in the sidebar though): There's nothing more common than an unsuccessful man with talent. Right on! Couldn't agree more. I work as a masonry laborer and had to work up from the very bottom...picking up trash and doing the hardest, dirtiest work. Same thing growing up; everyone in town wanted me and my brothers to work for them. It has served me well all my life. =-]

Hey Nutnfancy, Thanks for this video. It's a great message and very appropriate for the 'what's in it for me' world that we live in today.
