Raw milk cured my lactose !!!

Raw milk contains the same amount of lactose as pasteurised milk. Heating (pasteurisation) wouldn't do anything to alter a sugar like lactose. It's possible you're actually allergic to one of the proteins in milk
@storemanager9746
@storemanager9746 4 ай бұрын
No it didn't cure it. Raw milk has Lactase which helps break down lactose. When you pasteurize raw milk is kills all lactase bacteria which is needed to break down lactose. Also glutathione is also lost in pasteurization which is needed to detox the body of harmful toxins. Yes pasteurization ruins a lot of what raw milk has to offer. This lady is just listening to what these big milk companies are putting out. They are the one who pay for all the research that she is reading out.

@@AbbeytheFoodScientist depending on what type of raw dairy this can be false. For example bacteria can consume lactose which is a milk sugar. Any type of fermented dairy will have less lactose plus raw milk contains bacteria that colonize and help you build up an immunity to raw milk.

A calf is a cow. Just like we don't typically pasteurise mother's milk for a human baby. The problem with drinking another species' milk is that bacteria that don't bother cows at all can make humans extremely sick.
@RandomHuTaoSimp

@@AbbeytheFoodScientist this is a complete fallacy and NOT backed by science. Raw milk from cows in pasture raised, sanitary conditions will NEVER make humans sick. Also heating destroys water soluble nutrients like b vitamins and does in fact change structure of heat sensitive proteins. A lot of the bacteria in animals are very similar to that of humans, examples being lactobacillus ruiteri. Its heavily present in almost all animals on the face of the planet and raw dairy contains this fragile bacteria. What I love about this bacteria is it controls the nasties and preserves the good bacteria. Why is it do you think that Amish milk we've rarely ever heard of cases of people getting sick from it? On top if that raw milk bacteria builds up defenses again lactose which is milk sugar. Even better in fermented raw dairy. Don't spread misinformation on raw milk. Its far superior than heated milk, which most people have digestive problems with, yet not with raw. Don't allow mainstream to endoctrinate you

Your topic is why we click and why we stay to listen, not the gimmicky music playing in the background. I'm most certain that I'm not alone on this.....Cheers!

Ms. Abbey, are you aware that the quality of the vitamins commercial pasteurized milk is fortified with are very low quality and are far less bio available to your body than the naturally occurring vitamin D in raw milk before it’s pasteurized? The reason they fortify the milk with synthetic vitamin D is because high heat pasteurization denatures the vitamins and enzymes in it, making them much less if not completely unavailable for your body to absorb. This does not mention the naturally occurring probiotics in it as well which are all killed in the process. As for “people” you are hearing raw milk has more protein or macronutrients from… that’s a vast generalization, and that depends upon what the cow eats and it’s health. A2 dairy has the highest protein to fat ratio and comes from cows who are almost exclusively grass fed. That is what effects macronutrient content of milk, not merely whether it is raw or pasteurized… that makes no sense or has bearing on the macronutrient content. The pasteurized and homogenized milk which you showcased in the video, and that of all commercial non-grass fed pasteurized dairy comes from GRAIN FED cows. These cows often live in horrible conditions and develop terrible health issues from being fed corn and soy grain. Those cows produce very unhealthy milk and are unhealthy animals, when cows eat soy and corn grain they get very sick, as their bodies are evolved to eat and ruminate grass. And so the milk from those cows would get people very sick of it was raw, it has a high affinity for pathogens and bad bacteria, which raw grass fed milk has naturally occurring bacteria that protect it from those things. I respectfully urge you to read more on the topic! Raw milk is amazing and I think a large part of the declining health of our modern society has to do with the commercial dairy industry.

@@prnrmlsure thing, I can’t post links in the KZbin section so I will direct you to some medical journal studies and articles. For the health of grain fed cows vs grass fed, look up “Effects of grain feeding on microbiota in digestive tract of cattle” E. Khafipour et. al April 2016. If you go to any local farm who feeds and grazes their cows on hay and grass they will all tell you this by the way, this isn’t controversial information. Grain fed cows get super sick, they all die of organ failure by the time they are 4-5 years old whereas grass fed cows can live up to 30 years. There are tons of studies on the benefits of raw milk, one recent medical journal study from 2019 showcases the positive effects of kids on farms who drink raw milk have a much lower chance of developing asthma and hay fever. “Raw Cow’s Milk and Its Protective Effect on Allergies and Asthma” B. Sozanska To clarify, this does NOT mean that all raw milk is better than pasteurized milk full stop. It must be milk from cows that graze on grass or eat hay, if it is from those cows which are grain fed then the milk would develop pathogens and be dangerous for human consumption, which is where the vast majority of people think raw milk is dangerous. Raw milk from grass fed cows is one of the safest foods you can consume, and the notion that it is dangerous or will make you sick is misinformed! One extra fun fact, all Hood milk or pasteurized milk on shelves is OLD! Likely two or more weeks of age. And it is dead matter. When you pasteurize it you are boiling the life out of it. That’s why it smells bad if you inhale it. Raw milk is completely clean and has no smell. You should try it it’s really amazing. Go to realmilk.com to find a farm near you

@@prnrml think about it... if vitamins were all we needed, people could just live off pills. it is a fact that with pasteurized foods they usually have to reintroduce micronutrients that are not always natural. if they didn't it would be just pure fat and protein

@@prnrml Ok, if you google it you can easily find this information but here are some research studies. This is not controversial information by the way. If you go to any local dairy farm who feeds their cows grass they will tell you the same information. Cows that are fed exclusively grain die by 4-5 years old of organ failure and so they are butchered before then, whereas grass-fed cows can live for up to 30 years. The commercial dairy industry is crooked, vicious, and grotesque. They do not care about the life of the animal, but only what the cows can provide for them monetarily. The way they take care of cows in these commercial farms is really brutal. Their babies are taken away from the mother and fed milk-replacer straight from birth (further leading to poor health), high tech farms have the cows never even see a human. They wear these collars that allow a machine to put corn and grain feed in front of them in an indoor facility. When they need to get milked they walk up to a machine that connects to their udders automatically without a person to do it. It's all a complete machinery ballet with no nature as a part of it. Would you want to drink milk from a cow who never walked on grass and is surrounded by feces of hundreds of other cows 24/7? Here's just a couple studies for you to check out: The health of grain fed cows: Diet And Disease In Cattle: High-Grain Feed May Promote Illness And Harmful Bacteria. First off, enzymes aren't "living" they are just proteins that do a specific job. Casein is in the milk whether raw or pasteurised. No type of cow's milk contains probiotic microorganisms (they do contain microorganisms just not probiotics).

Why the consistency of factory based pasteurize milk is less thick that the milk which we pasteurize at home. The raw milk which we pasteurize at home gives us thick cream but not factory processed. I always wonder why that milk content high amount of water in it. If we freeze factory based milk it sometimes freezes the water in it.
@prnrml
@prnrml 7 ай бұрын
This is mainly due to homogenization. Homogenized milk does not form cream on top because the fat globules are broken down and dispersed evenly throughout the milk. Another reason may be that processed whole milk can contain slightly less fat due to standardization. However, this difference in fat content is likely not easily noticeable.
@AbbeytheFoodScientist

I agree with! My first thought was that manufactured milk has a standardised milk fat concentration that's lower than the milk that comes out of the cow. It's usually standardised to only 1 or 2% fat.

I agree with the comment of poor knowledge and especially the propaganda, related to the narrative against artisanal farming in the natural environment. Besides above mentioned concerns and comments there is no mention by the presenter of the most useful components of the raw milk: natural immunoglobulins that protect against various diseases caused by viruses, fungi and other microbes. Not to mention the protection against autoimmune conditions and even some cancers. Those substances, as well as vitamins are not termostabile and are ruined with the pasteurization and other processes.
