This is by far the best review I've seen on this product. All others were MEN, who have more strength than women and so it was not for me. I also like how you two talked with each other not OVER each other. And how in depth your review was. It was honest, not butter coated. I wish you guys were more popular you deserve it. However. I've come to learn that people value fancy flashy nonsense rather than real truthful honest good people. Which is ironic because they complain afterwards of being tricked when they are watching very fake youtubers. Anyways mini rant over. Have a great day if you ladies ever see this!

Many years ago I bought The Salad Shooter. Almost the same thing but electric powered. I still have it, and it still works. But so does the food processor. I don’t know why anyone would opt for a hand crank when electrics do that and more, faster. The Kitchen Aide even lets you choose the thickness of your slices. Otherwise, Cathy and Robin are a buy.

You could also use it for ring bolonga or ham for ham salad. Or brocoli salad.

I was surprised your's didn't slip off the counter, Every other review I've watch it has. Wondering if they just didn't have it suctioned well before putting the handle in the lock position. Definitely works great on cheese- would be a money saver for just that, Because usually the block cheeses will go on sale, but when you freeze them whole they tend to crumble after they thaw, so buying it in blocks, coming home, shredding it to your liking, then using a Food saver machine, would freeze much better, and save money all at the same time :)
@2centchick6 жыл бұрын
I’m never buying shredded cheese again. It works so well on block cheese and it taste so much better.
@indyduane6 жыл бұрын
would be top notch for cheese the block cheese sometimes has flavors the shredded bags don't have
@2centchick6 жыл бұрын
Very true!
@teridoster58406 жыл бұрын
Plus the bagged shreds are all coated with cellulose (made from wood pulp, yuk) to keep them from sticking & clumping, and that inhibits proper melting. And when you eat it straight from the bag w/o melting you can taste and feel a difference, I can't stand the stuff. Even tho it's a pain in the ass to grate it every time I want it (although I can usually talk the hubby into doing it, lol), the final product using block cheese is world's better. I'm gonna have to get one of these just for cheese!

oh boy where to start, ok lets start with the great comedy, love the natural mishaps in your videos so glad you leave them in for the giggles, but it is true to life as how people react when things go wrong. love your reviews they are so genuine. the sticking power i believe has something to do with what your count is made of and how clean it may be and how old or often the suction pad is used. you have a very smooth counter top and you like to keep your kitchen very clean which a lot of people dont do, so it may stick better on your counter top verses say like your dining room table which is a rough surface, plus if there is a little grease on the counter it will not seal. another part into why it wont seal for some is that the rubber will dry out over the years and wont seal, plus some soaps will dry out rubber too. i to have seen some of the other reviews and some of them people i think arent the cleanest people around but give good reviews for the hardworking families with kids that most of these as seen on tv products are aimed for. trying not to offend anyone and i apologize if i did. the slicer might be good for people who like to dry their foods and make potato chips, would also work i think at slicing pepperoni for pizza. you might have better luck with roma tomatoes which is a meatier tomato than the one you used. but it still slices to thin for sandwiches but might work for a pizza, speaking of pizza again i thought maybe you were going to make a pizza with all the stuff you sliced and grated except for the apples carrots and cucumber. the cauliflower for the crust the tomato for the sauce? minus the juices. everything else goes for the topping. which this idea could be used for future product reviews for food prepping think of the foods to try and make a dish afterwards because isnt that what the product is trying to do to sell it to us? shred your carrots and bake a cake or make some coleslaw, and that pizza and homemade chips, and see if this really helps make the food better and easier than doing it the other way. sorry for writing a book on this review but i thought some of it needed to be said.

Thank you for saving me airfare and hotel money.......because I thought I was going to have to fly up to Nashville to smack Robyn when I saw her cranking the wrong way. Fortunately, the issue was resolved before I called my travel agent. To make thicker slices, try pushing harder. Or take some metal tool to try to widen the slicing slots. Now, if only to make her self-conscious of it, I always get a kick out of the way Cathy says the second syllable of her name in a high pitch. The last vid (oreos) was a real keeper.

Woo! Midnight 2¢ - good times. I wish products like this would stop advertising as doing more than it’s actually capable of, ‘cos it’s just setting your customers up for unnecessary disappointment & your product for neutral if not negative reviews when your product is good at its core function, but bad at the extra crap you threw in for advertising. Or better yet, invest the 20mins it would take to alter the design slightly so it was properly capable of the extra crap: change the slicing blade so it made usable slices, or better still, include a second thicker slice blade, & increase the width of the input chute so you can fit at the very least a small apple into it - hell, if you wanted to get all old-school & be considerate of your customers you could also throw in a chute insert that held narrower produce upright to stop it getting caught down the side. Tiny changes that would’ve made this product *amazing*, even when considering it’s made of cheapo plastic. And it wouldn’t even cost that much in extra materials - plastics, especially shitty plastics, are so prevalent & cheap these days that what infinitesimally little it cost to pack in an extra blade & have a bigger chute would be more than made back by the positive reviews & word-of-mouth sales it would’ve garnered by actually being the ‘more than just a grater’ it was advertised as. And it has such potential given how good the core grater aspect is. Frustration at current capitalism aside, great video! It was good fun, & I was excited to’ve seen & watched in within less than the usual 12-14hrs - a downside of being in Aus is usually being late to the party, but an upside is that I live 12-18hrs in the future, depending on timezones :P
@2centchick6 жыл бұрын
You had a lot to say for being so late! LOL I agree with you 100%! I sure it all comes down to cost and how fast they can get the product made. Hope you have a good night...morning....Saturday or is it Sunday? LOL I’m not sure. 😂 I’m so confused. 🤪 Either way it’s always good to hear from you!

Well the NurtiSlicer as you call it in your blub should be called the NerdiSlicer, I think. To solve the problem of the plastic wear on the moving parts I suggest a shot of Pam or some other veg lube. I guess if you like cheese it is good, but a small electric food processor for about the same cost would do a better job. Looks like it cleans easily though and sticks to slick surfaces well.

Please don't waste your $39 at Big W (Australia) on this flimsy toy. The plastic rotating arm will snap off in due time. The blades are not even sharp enough to cut a one inch carrot piece. My spinning effort remained fruitless throughout the entire ordeal. I resorted to cutting my veggies with a knife. If you get your hands on a NutriSlicer which gives the above results it is either due to hit or miss, or the manufacturers have made a good one and colluded with the people featured in the above video. ISO and Australian Standards are not met. Very disappointed and have returned this product for a REFUND! Will use my professional mandolin next time!
