Rokas, your question about starting an MMA career at 29 reminded me of an incredible woman I once knew and deeply admired who started fighting as an MMA fighter around the age of 43 and continued fighting till around the age of 48. Tanya Vlahac (RIP) was an incredible woman, IMO. I knew her in her early 30's and was amazed to learn she abandoned her corporate career in Montreal, where I knew her, and moved to Ontario to take up martial arts and become a business partner in a fitness center with a man who would also become her MMA coach. She started her MMA career in 2001competing with some of the top women MMA athletes of the early 2000's. Alas, I only realized what this woman had accomplished a year or two after she died, 3 weeks after being diagnosed with stage IV bone cancer in 2007 at the age of 49. It was incredibly sad to learn of her death, but what is more important is the awe I feel when I think of her. Anyway, the answer to your question is that you are in no way too old to pursue your dream--as long as it is your dream. It would mean something to me if some aspect of Tanya's story might inspire others to push for their dreams regardless of their age or other obstacles. Tanya, wherever you are, I will always remember and admire you for the amazing life you led.

I thought I would add a couple links in a separate reply, in case you (Rokas) need to scrutinize the links before allowing them to be made public. The first is to another KZbin video where Tanya Vlahac fights Christine Bates, aka Christine Van Fleet. Note, Tanya's first name is misspelled as Tonya, but that's definitely her fighting. Here's the first link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaHEaImIe96mapY. The second link is an interview with Tanya on fightergirls.com, with an appended note about her passing, probably written by her coach and business partner, Pete Tremblay. Here's that link: www.fightergirls.com/interview-mma-fighter-tanya-vlahac/

they need to have weigh-ins the day of the fight. 3 days isn't too bad but day of would be better just like a tournament.

Foreman had been boxing for 40 years before that and beat some of the greatest to ever do it in his prime. The average professional isnt george foreman and the average person is a lot less capable than the average person

Lockhart was called a “nutrition expert” hahahahaha. He’s awful at what he does. I wish this kid asked him about all the fighters this “expert” sent to hospital and was fired for almost killing them. He’s the worst in mma. Go watch Mike Dolce, he’s never had a fighter miss weight, not once.
