Hi Dr. tribe member here. My brother in law is now diabetic. 113 fasting. Sores on his legs. But there’s hope , he followed my lead and has been keto for two weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that he can stay with it.

@francinedavis7224 thank you.mainly carnivore, I do have some veg from time to time. Mainly serrano peppers, celery, or cabagge at first it was hard for me to wrap my head around lol the whole (butter and bacon over salad? ) but went for it lol I'm happy I came across Dr berry his videos have been an amazing tool.
@Brianboru-k8y4 сағат бұрын
If you fall away from keto dont fret just keep on trying. Every piece of refined carbs you don't eat helps.
@H4KnSL4K2 сағат бұрын
Indeed! I think one of the first steps is discovering safe (in this context) but satisfying foods that you can choose instead of stuff with carbs, seed oils, and other undesirables. I try to convince people to go to a eggs and bacon breakfast, versus oatmeal (with added sugar!!) which is perceived as healthy. Eggs and bacon can taste great and a lot of people would be willing to go that way if you can convince them that they're actually healthy. (and that oatmeal and cereal and even toast aren't!)

As a beginner, it is essential that you have a mentor to help you stay accountable. In my case, Elizabeth Marie Hawley has guided me for months and I highly recommend her. I focus on her. To be honest, I'm almost hesitant to let someone take charge of growing my finances, but I'm so glad I did.

Hilariously, my husband started his first day on the PHD today and was questioning fiber as he walked out the door to snake the drain at our daughter's apartment. I can't wait to play this for him when he gets home. Also, he thought he didn't like chicken wings, but a month ago I got beef tallow, and have been basting our air fried wings with tallow...He LOVES them!!

I miss a lot of things about my previous high carb life, even the jelly donuts, honey buns, and little Debbie's oatmeal pies. I hope that a day comes when all those carbohydrates become less attractive. The reason that I stay keto is the long-term outcome of staying high carbohydrates such as cancer and alzheimer, type II diabetes, I like even less.
