A hamster abandoned by someone at a pet store I said that the troubled pet shop has no choice but to kill Poor hamster I can only see one eye I protected the hamster
Why do people get pets just to send them back or kill them? I'm glad the hamster is safe I would do the same thing

Unfortunately a lot of people will adopt a pet without doing even the most basic research. He was so untrusting of the person which implies something kind of bad, but he never tried to attack them so that's good. He probably lost his sight in one eye and the previous owner was probably thinking "I don't know what I'm doing" at best and "this is a useless pet" at worst. That's kind of how I got my rabbit, actually. The pet store probably thought that nobody was going to adopt him and were planning on putting him down. LIFE is such a good person for adopting him. I'm guessing he's a boy anyway, judging by his build. It's kind of hard to tell when you don't know the age the hamster though.
He looks like he wants to burrow because that's what hamsters do so I would put more bedding but I am glad you are rescuing hamsters!❤

I was coming here to say this, they need about 6 to 8 inches of bedding. They also need a wheel and a sand bath. My late girl Tink was a rescue from a pet shop, she never grew to like being touched, but she did get ok with my hand being in her bin.
I recommend that you put a paper substrate, it is very good and does not harm your skin, I am really very moved by all this and I hope you are well, I bless you because you have a good heart and it makes me happy I see this since I have two hamsters and I am thankful that they are safe and knowing full well that it can fall into the wrong hands of people who just don't reason.

@@wenrong7497 you can't tell just from the looks. It might as well be aspen or other safe wood shavings. Or if you buy german brand its safe

They also should put a lot more bedding in there because hamsters like to burrow
It’s beyond me how anyone in their right mind could hurt such a small defenseless fur baby…

@@Absalom3439 And that's how someone can kidnap your dog. Never leave a pet outside alone unless your sure they won't leave or anyone will come take them. My cousin let her puppy outside in the porch to do her businesses, turned to get a bag like she always does but this time when she came to let her out which was not longer than a minute she was gone. The porch was fenced off and she was to bug to get through the gaps plush she was born blind and never jumps so she couldn't get out even if she wanted, nor does she bark since she thinks it's family picking her up. The asshole that took her hid her somewhere and the neighborhood she lives in has dog fighters, we fear the worst for her.. It's been a month and we still haven't found her

I adopted a hamster for a similar reason. She wasn't injured though, she was just elderly and unhappy so she looked unpleasant with messy fur. I adopted her because she had been sitting in that pet shop for almost her whole life. Within just a couple days of giving her a proper cage and care she looked so fluffy and pretty. We only had her for about 8 months before she passed away. I'm glad you've given this hamster another chance too so they can feel loved and be cared for, I hate how careless people are towards hamsters just because they're small
I recommend putting more bedding there is like none in there

@Captain bird blox reviews bedding as in the stuff its running around in, hamsters need it atleast 6 to 10 inches deep, they are natural burrowers . not having enough and it cant do the thing it does daily . my Roborovski hamster gets 10 inches and is happy to be able to dig around

I recommend giving at least 6 inches of bedding for your hamsters as they love to burrow, your hammies are so cute otherwise! Thank you for saving him!
That's about an average pet store hamster in my country. Average - not brought back/abandoned. Animals from our pet stores, especially rodents, rarely live for longer than a couple days/weeks, the most known case scenario is spending 5$ on a hamster/mouse/etc... and 350$ on the vet. And then digging a small grave in your backyard... Glad to see this little fellow is safe, wish him the best!
