hi, my quick tone programme will not start, i have tried various usb 'data' cables, it has a pink 'x' in the top left hand corner when it tries to start, but doesnt get any further than that....i have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them , but it still wont work.....when i look in ''devices'' it all looks ok. and i have sound, but no quick time...im running windows 7. any help would be appreciated. thanks .

@@nmol9733 hi, i got so pissed off i just sent it back, and gave up.....nux needs to sort their products out big time......the other reason i gave it back was i found the distortions to be very ''wooly'' or ''fizzy'' ....it was as if the sound was around the note, with no attack...kind of as if you had your guitars volume pot turned back a quarter......not good.

I resolved this frustrating issue and guess what it was way simpler then what i was doing.. Step 1. Download and install the audio driver from the website. Step 2. download quick tone from the website. Step 3. download the latest firmware from the website and follow the instructions to install the firmware which is included with the download. Step 4. MOST IMPORTANT. Turn off the processor. press the loop and the drum button on the processor together and turn on the power of the processor both the buttons will turn green that would mean that your processor has entered into to firmware installation mode. Install the firmware. Step 5. restart the processor and go to quick tone it will work now.

I have the MG 30 it’s great. But I have loaded the quick tone as well as the proper drivers on my Windows 10 but... it keeps saying the device needs to be connected even though it is connected. Any advice why it won’t connect? Thanks

@@nmol9733 ok so here’s what I can tell u ...I’m not very computer savvy so I had a friend help. Ok first download the editor and Driver for your operating system either Apple or Windows 10 or Windows 7...whichever you use make sure you download correct one. Also download firmware. Next do the firmware update. After that here’s where things get a little over my head...but you need to open something called the Bin File. Once you find and open the Bin File it allows you to open the Quick tone editor. I wish it was simpler to do but that’s what my friend did exactly. Hope it works .

Possibly the wrong USB cable. It needs to be a data cable, not charging.

I can't get sound to play back through the Mg-300 through headphones, etc after recording. QuickTone seems to freeze up when I try to change between wet/dry/reamp. Restarting computer doesn't help. Didn't have this issue with my Scarlett 2i2.

How are you re-amping the USB signal exactly? I have my audio IN and OUT as the NUX MG-300, but my dry track never gets re-amped. I'm using Tracktion Waveform 11 PRO and I hear the wet or dry signal fine and can record it, but the re-amping never gets the dry signal back into the MG-300 when I set it to re-amp mode in QuickTone.

I've seen at least 10+ videos of this unit and it sounds amazzing. Is this really that good? I wanted to get an analog pedal/ unit specifically like the nux cerebus but can't help thinking this is so much better as an option for tones even after it being digital.

I am very frustrated, firstly after setting the audio output volume, each time I switch from one tone to another, the audio coming out of my front stack amp, is so loud…I cannot seem to control the audio…way too loud, pedal was calibrated, but this does not help..also it’s hit or miss my Mac sees the MG300….can anyone advise me, seems every video I watch has nice sounds and not way way too loud through their amps….what am I doing wrong…..

hey man I already installed the driver ASIO fro NUX but it says ASIO inactive in the NUX control panel. Also no sound from input is coming in but the output thru the NUX Speaker is ok. how can I resolve this?>

Hi! I have encountered some trouble with quicktone. I can actually proceed to the GUI of it but there is no sound when i pluck or strum my guitar. My guitar is plugged by the way. I am using windows 10. Checked the device manager in sound section and saw Nux Mg300 Audio saying "Device Cannot Start (Code 10 Error)" with a triangle exclamation point icon on it. How should i fix it? By the way, my only need is to bring the sound of my guitar whenever i use quicktone. Big thanks!

While using the MG-300 as an interface i surely can record, but it is impossible to monitor or even play back. If i want to do that, the only workaround I've found was to set my input to Nux Mg-300 but my output to System Default (Macbook Speakers). So i have to use my headphones connected to the mac and not to the nux. I'm using Macbook M1 and logic. Does anybody knows how to solve this?

@@andreapasillas5803 What I meant, I never paid for any driver for any device. Never in my life. Finally I managed to make the MG300 work (no drivers needed) but I resold it. I have the Valeton GP-100 and it's better IMO.

Yes, it's broken. I've emailed support about it. It works on Windows though, so if you have access to a Windows machine, you might try that. My device was not bricked after unsuccessful update from Mac. What bothers me though, after the update I checked the firmware version on the device and it still showed 1.00, you would think that it should show 1.06.

Weird how you can clearly hear clicks and glitches at 9:21, but no ones adresses it. Truth is Nux mg-300 is a nice litlle toy, but when it gets to recording, it's useless.

Some usb cables are charge only, you need a data usb cable. I had the same problem now it’s ok. Find usb cable that used in smartphones for data transfer.
