Unironically the last season before this when Garrison was running for office he went to Canada because he wanted to kick out Canadians from the US but, the Canadians all moved to America because they elected their own version of Trump. In the end, Garrison ended up literally banging the Canadian Trump until he died, because that’s what his campaign was about, and eventually became Trump himself.

I think the fact they used Garrison instead of a Trump character is significant. It's an interesting choice to be honest because they also had Kaitlyn Jenner as his running mate. They could of chosen anyone to be Trump's running mate they chose a trans gender. dear Nux.. thank you for watching the season in chronological order instead of treating it episodically.. however, some of what's happening this season are a follow up on the previous 2 seasons, so if you're gonna be confused by a few minor details it's because there's lore behind it you don't get yet.. one great example is the Cartman trying to be better plot, that's a direct sequel to season 19 where he promised Kyle he'll stop being a bigot for the rest of his life (for as long as that lasted)

Same thing happened in 2000 where the creators of South Park had written an entire live action sitcom series based on gore getting settled into his presidency. But bush won and they had to scrap and rewrite the entire series. 😂😅 Best way to determine who will win would be to ask Matt and Trey and go with the opposite of what they say 😂😂

So this is I believe the season where they really started getting into the overarching plot lines for a season. So you'll have an A plot, a B plot and a C plot. The presidential campaign acts as the B and C plot for most of this season. While the A plot in the individual episodes varies.
