When he played Hero with his classmates as a kid, he would always end up playing the monster, because the popular kid always got to be the hero. He would always be ganged up on and lose because he was labeled the ‘Monster’. Garou understood and sympathized with all the monsters on TV, “He was just trying to protect the ocean and the heroes killed him”. Garou realized that this system of the children in his class labeling him the monster and beating him up was a reflection of society. The monster was the one in the minority, the weak, and the so-called heroes who stood for justice would use their majority to crush the will of the ‘evil’. Garou wanted to become a monster that wins. He wanted the heroes, his classmates, he wanted them all to feel a blow from the weak. Maybe my favorite character in all of anime.

I only know a very FEW lovely/cool people personally. When I see them I tend to complement them or tell them( The people I wish I grew up with or knew from an early age). Im not great with words and I felt that you put in writting exactly what I was feeling and thinking about him. He would difinitely make a great video game character that is for sure. I don't think you understand Garou, he was bullied in childhood and because he rooted for monsters he was cast aside from the group feeling like he didn't fit, he extrapolates those feelings into the heroes themselves because in reality he is not wrong, most class S heroes don't care for a living soul, blast doesn't appear, metal knight only cares about getting weapons regardless of what city is being destroyed, you have hero that is a celebrity and is a douche that gates everyone out of ranking to S class, you have countless other that only care about being famous. Taking Garou ideology, are they really heroes? They can't be heroes! How can those heroes always win, but Garou doesn't realize that the anger and resentment he feels towards heroes come from his childhood, he thinks that he wants to be a monster but deep down he really doesn't and only when he fights saitam in the manga does he realize that he is not a monster but he actually wants to be a hero, but not a flawed hero like the others, he wants to be a real hero, he never killed anyone aside from monsters, he even saved that kid, deep down he always wanted to be a hero, and what makes his character great it's this internal struggle of his and the growth up until Saitama fight where he get clearity.

No, Saitama is just dumb and detached from Human society, even when the fame he intented to go for once is in his grasp, he doesn't go for it, bc he thinks it's too much of a hassle. Not that I blame him, he at least respects some human conventions and rules he remembers and cares about, for whatever reason, but he definitely lost quite a bit of his Human conviction and emotion in the process of becoming too strong.

Did you catch Garou's super power? He is TaskMaster from the Marvel universe. He can copy any fighting style he has witnessed. His biggest weakness is Saitama, a hero with no style and 100% physical prowess. Can't copy brute force.

Except that he never copies a fighting style ever again in the series except from copying dog man's style. Spoiler for manga and Web comic Garous super power is his ability to grow with strength and power to overcome any threat he faces. After every fight he loses he basically gets a zenkai boost and comes back stronger, during his fight with darkshine despite clearly being weaker at the beginning, by not giving up he slowly overcomes darkshine bit by bit and eventually overpowers him and wins.

I feel like this video is slightly wrong if you read the webcomic. He does have a driving ideology. But nux did predict Garou exposing the corruption of the hero association and selfishness of the heroes. That's why I think Garou is actually the hero. Huge Spoilers They're willing to kill him, even though he doesn't kill. They're willing to kill people in the crossfire while he protects the innocent. The S class heroes are falling over each other trying to fight Garou when he's weak, but then when he gets stronger than them eventually not a single one of them is willing to stand up to him. After Saitama beats Garou, all the S class heroes are begging for him to be killed... even though he spared every single one of their lives at least once. The hero association wanted Garou dead to protect their image to financial backers, not for any noble reason. Heroes hunting him are more concerned about clout and rank than building a good strategy to beat him. Garou is hell bent on his goal of achieving a completely crime free world. It's unrealistic, but his cause is much more noble than fame. Garou's actions are misguided, but ultimately the actions of a Hero. It seems like he even inspired heroes to better themselves and people to challenge the hero association He pretty much exposes every S class hero/ sweet mask except Blackshine, Tatsumaki, Bang and Genos as frauds and that will probably positively affect the quality of heroes. Now people have an idea of what a real hero should be

The thing is i love garou so much i watched a badass montage of him and once i saw him v the 8 a class hero in the montage which i have watched before in the episode made me love garou more and it reminded me of how saitama became strong *ONE HUNDRED SIT UPS ONE HUNDRED PUSH UPS ONE HUNDRED SQUATS AND A TEN KILOMETRE RUN EVERY SINGLE DAY* This made me to be strong like garou in being confident and having a more hero personality than any hero and it inspired me a lot. I relate to Garou, fighting for the little guy or that person who is quiet and doesn't bother or harasses anyone. And someone puts a label on you, you hate it but then run with it and essentially turning that Negative into a Positive and changing up the scenario. Garou is also my favorite anime villain. His concept of villainy is actually more complicated than every other villain in the game.
