With my friends, when we play we always choose one "item person" Who adds all the items in the menu and then mostly stays in the van. So that way the people in the house didn't add something in case they die and the person that did can't die. It doesn't make the ghost less scary, only game experience can do that, but at least you'll know that there is nothing "on the line" For you

Had friends suggesting the same thing early on and were very particular about only bringing what’s needed/necessarily but now none of us give a shit. Hell I’ve added 4 head mounts when only 2 of us are playing just because it’s faster to hit the “add all” button

The thing I will always find creepy in Phasmophobia is the newspaper clippings in the van. Because two of them are about ghost hauntings in the town I live in. It's such a creepy coincidence for me. The ghosts don't scare me at all, but it's just weird about those clippings. The clipping in the middle had the text censored out for some reason but it's an article called Faces from the other side and it has a picture of the town's main church when the floor was renovated and I even remember seeing that on a school trip once. Nice to be finding out now that there were bones under there that 5 year old me didn't notice...

Do you mean the parabolic mic? If you don't know it basically detects sounds in the direction your facing. I have no idea why he used it on such a small map. It is usually used on maps like asylum where there is a lot of ground to cover as the parabolic has a very long range.

I've never seen a ghost open a locker door that frequently. Sometimes I call the ghost while inside for fun since I don't think it can attack the player, even when they're literary just outside hunting, but they don't seem to want to open it for me.

I hope they update that the ghost can always hear you for multiplayer as well. Thats when you use push to talk mostly to eliminate background noise for other people. Just dont have the voice be hearable for other players without push to talk, but just the ghost.

You really needed to move that crucifix, could tell its main spawn spot was away from where you placed them by how often it hunted without prevention. Sucks that 1 clipped through the rug near the ghost writing book, that's why I hate placing them there. I try to put them somewhere you can be sure to see them if you mark them with a glow stick or candle.

Doesn't work as well anymore, given that they count an open room plus the immediately surrounding rooms as their area to wander and will set them off all along there. Had a Jinn do that to me on Ridgeview, mainly got hints around the living room so put both crucifixes there, spread out. Never did prevent a hunt, used motion sensors on the way to the foyer/living room, 1 in the living room, 1 in the hallway to the master bedroom and 1 in the master bedroom. They all got set off, and I got ghost orbs in the bathroom next to the master bedroom as well as the living room/hallway area. Got Box and EMF5 in the living room...

I use the emf reader and try to find a signal and just drop the crucifix there. Dont know if this is the right way to do it though but it has worked b4

@@ahmaddaniel6500 Anything the ghost interacts with will leave an EMF trace for a few seconds, so if a ghost walks down a hallway near its room touching doors, flipping light switches, throwing things, all those things will show up EMF. Same with when it appears for an Event to scare you. The only sure way is to wait close enough to the EMF in what you think is the ghost room and see if it shows a 4 there when it starts hunting. Very risky. Safer way is to have someone sit in the door of the house until the hunt starts, have them back out of the house before they get locked in, and have someone in the van watch on a camera to try to spot where it spawns, then place a crucifix at where it spawns most often.

The ghost can't change room. It can be a bug, but the temperature in the new update is sometimes weird, so you can find wrong room.
