Thanks a million for posting this. I was stuck trying to figure out that same spring clip for my `78. This video pointed me in the right direction.

Thanks for this video, Honda used a funny system for holding the pads, and it is not obvious how the pads mount until one has done it once. One thing I found helpful to keep the pads on the mount while installing the caliper was to insert something between the pads that fits in the slot in the mount. this keeps the pads from coming together and sliding out of position as the caliper is put on.

I liked your 7 volt regulator video as well as this one. I have 2 comments: you can avoid lots of particulate contamination by assembling the cleaned piston in the caliper immersed in a pan of brake fluid, and installing the bleed screw at that point as well before drying and assembling to the yoke. This has the neat advantage of priming the piston, and cutting your brake bleeding time. On the floating pins: don't forget to lube them prior to reassembly: I use a thin coat of marine grease.

thx for Video! so many details you included, for anyone out there working/assembling on your front brake caliper? if so, be sure to put rubber seals in correct direction for proper suction flow! Very important : )

There is also a thin wafer-like paper thin plate that attached to the innermost side of the inner pad---- mine had one at least

Is the backing plate really needed with new pads?
