I like this version of the flash He's practically a modern day bully. And even though he is Spider-Man's number one fan and defender, he sees Peter as Peter and he wanted to use him for status. I feel like they would actually become friends in the fourth movie despite the memory erase. There's a chance they can be friends as flash and has never met in childhood. Peter and probably grew out of being a bully.

They just didn't care enough to talk to him after his near death experience, or care enough to be there to pick him up at the airport in person. The implication is that he always seeks attention because his parents do not pay attention to him. It wasn't a subplot, it was character development.

Agreed. It definitely would have been interesting. Plus, the Webb version of Flash did end up being a true to Andrew's Peter in the end. Even in a deleted scene for TASM 2, he hugged Peter saying he loves him and he will miss him. Imagine if that version of Flash gave the MCU one advice. Or that the MCU Flash tried to help throughout the movie, along with Betty. Like imagine Flash asking the other two Peters if they are friends with their Flashes. While Maguire would say he isn't friends with his, Andrew would say that things did turn out good between the two. He can say their friendship started when Flash told him that he was sorry about his Uncle Ben being killed. That he bled out in front of him. Andrew would say that if Flash really wants to be friends with his Peter, he must show more respect than the fact he's Spider-Man. Show more understanding. With that, I can imagine Flash telling Peter he's sorry about Aunt May dying.

I swear I loved the movie as a whole, but I will always complain about how bad they did him. I walked away genuinely disappointed by his less than two minutes of screen time. I feel like he and Peter were on their way to kind of being (and this is used very loosely) friends, there was actual character development in Far From Home. There could’ve been more added to his character through No Way Home. But we get NOTHING.
