I think, generally speaking, the laws in the U.K. and specifically Wales are more restrictive about RF(Radio Frequency)and Electronic Communications in the hands of "civilians" but assuming there aren't any restrictions regarding drones; why don't you use drone footage? You can easily stay outside the property line yet hover those things all about the place without trespassing(physically) and save yourself a hassle. Although the guard who confronted you was civil and non aggressive, you never know when the opposite might be the case.
