What a remarkable opening story to your new series. What I loved most about it is how you mixed both the TV engines with the Railway Series episodes and turned them from one to the other in this story. Rheneas telling the story to (well I'll be blown) Christopher Awdry, was an even bigger surprise to me :D .

🎊🥳 Congratulations, NWR1991. 🥳🎊 You still have comments on your videos, which means you survived COPPA. Plus, this episode was an amazing way to start a new season. You did a great job.

Pretty great episode. A good way to start off your 9th season, the new year, and your part in the 75th anniversary of Thomas & Friends. Can't wait to see how the engines and the railway celebrate it in your series. And although this is a bit early, but I wonder what things will be like for the 100th anniversary in the next 25 years.

How do you turn off the kid mode?
@NWR19915 жыл бұрын
Penny Waltz - Go to KZbin Studios, click on settings and then the channel button. There you see the ‘made for kids’ settings and have three options and click on the ‘No’ selection. It’s a way to say you have a ‘mixed audience’ according to KZbin.

Would be nice if this year we did get a new book or series of stories in relation to the Island of Sodor in 2020 as well. But your series will no doubt carry it on. Glad to see the liveries are closer to the Railway Series now (the repaint for the Skarloey Railway engines does make sense though :) ). Here's to 2020 and however many episodes you release this year :D

A brilliant episode to start off a new decade and a new season! I love Christopher Awdry's appearance, as well as the new intro and end credits! While watching this episode, I knew it was going to be a reference to the TV Series, and sure enough it did! Since I grew up more with the TV Series, I prefer the Skarloey engines in different liveries. Yeah, they do look nice in red with blue lining, but I would admit, it would be very confusing to tear them apart. I really liked Skarloey's message to Rheneas at the end (for I remember when I first read the books, I realized the difference between that and the show). I have been watching the previous episodes of your series, and even though I noticed that the narrow-gauge engines were in their RWS liveries, I still pretty much enjoyed them. One question. Alongside Christopher, would Veronica Chambers and Britt Allcroft make an appearance in this season?

A fine video, and splendid opening to the season. My only feedback would be that in the very least Ivo Hugh should have been acknowledged in some way; even if it was just someone pointing out he was "away for repairs." A model of him probably doesn't exist in the game you use and that is why he's not around, but it would have been a nice easter egg. That said, it does not change my enjoyment of the story; keep up the great work
@NWR19915 жыл бұрын
frankydman - I’d stated this before, I had planned to place Ivo Hugh in the episode it his model wasn’t working for me. Plus I don’t know how to explain why he wasn’t here because he doesn’t have any importance to the story and it would feel forced in. Not everything has to be explained.
@frankydman5 жыл бұрын
That’s fair; thank you for the explanation. And please accept my apologies; I must have missed when you mentioned that and was unaware.

Dear NWR1991 I must say, This is Truly A Terrific Opening Episode, Especially to begin with the Theme of New Year's Day. A Cleverly-Written and Well Narrated Online Story, Also with the fine cast of characters (the beloved Narrow Gauge Engines of course). Also like the latest opening titles - Showing Recreated Classic Scenes, Moments and References to Memorable Classic Stories/Storylines in-between, What A Way to Creatively-Entertain in such a Terrific Way on Celebrating 75 Years of such a Remarkably Forever-Never-Ending Franchise all-round. By the way, How many Episodes of this year's NWR Tales will there be throughout 2020 ? (if you forgive me asking).

Will this be a theme throughout the season.
@NWR19915 жыл бұрын
NoCoCoforBoCo - If it’s the cold openings? They’ll be a feature from now on. If it’s Christopher Awdry going around to write stories, it’ll only be until April, because May is the anniversary month like the episode had stated, but he'll make an appearance in May's episode.

@@NWR1991 That's very strange. I had his Ivo working just fine on my TS12 copy considering I made my own renditions of all stories from "New Little Engine." Regardless, I've always wondered how Ivo would've been painted if he was in the TVs in the first place. I was thinking either light grey with black lining (much like Fearless Freddie), green (like Peter Sam, just a little more olive-y green), or purple. What are your thoughts?
