Ok, I'm gonna try that spinner bait in my local lilly pads.

I tried it on a different lake today and wasn't able to make anything happen. If you got some shallow Lilly pads near a tributary, definitely give it a go! Let me know if it works for ya!

Nice fish! that slight gap in the mouth would be a deduction, so for a tournament he would be 17.25 even though I do think he would have squeezed out that 17.75. I mention it because it is a huge point of emphases by the judges. Tell Chris I said hi.

Only giving you this comment due to possible tournament fishing. Make sure mouth completely closed. This photo you would get a deduction of 1/2” I believe. Also be careful with your hand placement so your not to far forward and slip under the gill plate.
