Thanks for posting this video! I was 16 years old attending this game with my father, and we learned our lesson that day. Terrell Davis broke that TD late and we stormed out of the stadium all pissed off with minutes left. A bunch of sots outside the stadium were STILL tailgating and drinking and watching it on their mobile TV set, and we were fortunate to be able to catch the game winning TD pass. We heard the roar from the crowd 100 meters outside the stadium, saw the TD on their TV, and we were jumping up and down and bearhugging the strangers from the group so vigorously that 7-8 of us got caught up in a vortex and went splat to the pavement! It was awesome!!! The '98 Giants left a lot to be desired, but this is one of my favorite all-time NFL memories. To this day, no mater the score or how impossible the circumstances appear, I always hang out until the game is done!
@billny337 ай бұрын
You know, most people would really regret leaving the stadium. But to find yourself just outside with tailgaters watching on tv and getting mobbed by a crowd of other fans, still able to hear the stadium crowd, sounds so cool and unique. Are you glad it played out the way it did or do you still wish you had stayed in your seats? I think you're very lucky you didn't end up listening to this on the radio on the drive home.

Of the Dave Brown, Kent Graham, Danny Kanell era I suppose I’d choose Kent Graham. This alone is reason. It was a clutch win against a great team. During those years the Giants didn’t have the best receivers either. At this point Toomer was just budding, Hilliard was already always hurt, Calloway was getting old and Jurevicius was very green...and this was a better WR Corp than they’d had for a long time. Those years 1994-1996 or 1997 were brutal in offense. This was the start of Toomer, Hilliard and Barber days really taking shape. Adding Collins the next year set up the 2000 run and if it weren’t for the best defense of all time and a terrible holding call, they could’ve won it all

@@jameshayes9849 Exactly. The Panthers just cruised through the season. They never ate that humble pie... Never got that reality check- until Super Bowl 50. My family are DIEHARD Giants fans. We have been bleeding blue going back to their first season with my great grandfather. Well the Thursday before this game, my Aunt passed from stomach cancer. Her Wake was the day of this game. As much as we were grieving we all gathered together between the wake visiting hours and watched this game. Now remember the broncos were 13-0 and we were really bad that season. When Amani Toomer caught that ball, we were all in hysterics and we all agreed that this was our Aunts way of communicating with us and telling us, I’m ok. It will all be ok. Writing this makes me tear up. Anytime someone asks me to tell the some of the greatest wins in Giants history this will ALWAYS be in the rotation. Thank you for letting me tell you my story.

This game was a stunner. Broncos at 13-0 and the Giants I think were something like 2-11. Broncos had chance to run out the clock and blew it. I think they go undefeated this season even though the also lost to the Dolphins the following week. Against Dolphins, the Broncos had a 13 point lead early and if their record was 14-0 instead of 13-1, I think the Broncos would have played harder to hold that lead, having the chance in the final week (a home game) to finish an undefeated regular season. But I guess they'll settle for 14-2 and defending their Superbowl title!
