Marshall, I definitely agree with you. Leon Rose will bring Walker Kessler to this team like the Boston Celtics brought in Porziņģis. However, Kessler is only 23 and leads the league and blocks at three per game and about 11 rebounds as well and 10 points. Leon Rose will get Walker Kessler on the New York Knicks. I guarantee.

Also Thibs can save us time & money by actually playing Ariel Hukporti instead of stubbornly parking him on the bench & making him a super fan. This would add height to the starting lineup. It would also mean having 2 seven footers together. If we'd done that, we wouldn't have struggled & lost against taller teams like Dallas or Utah. In fact, most teams have ONE slower 7 footer that's good who would be reluctant to go to the perimeter. That would allow KAT to shoot more open 3s or shoot those 3s over smaller defenders. As for Ariel Hukporti? He: defends, blocks shots, rebounds, gives assists, drives to the rim, cuts to the rim for passes that lead to easy baskets on the run, finishes on ally oops & finishes on pick n' rolls. The Knicks seem reluctant to use pick n' rolls or ally oops for some odd reason yet are watching teams like Atlanta dominate them while using those very same things. Thibs should have seen that last night the team won without launching tons of 3 pointers. The team needs to move better without the ball consistently (though they were doing it much better yesterday) as well as driving in more. Also if they actually used handles, they could get around guys more easily instead of using their arms to create space...leading to foul calls. Ariel Hukporti would allow them to get more 2nd chance points, rebounds & easier baskets. Josh Hart would then go to the bench and dominate completely. Thibs needs to play a 10 man rotation as well. I like the speed they were going at yesterday. Josh Hart can be a one man fast break with the ball in his hands more. He would get the bench running in transition. Not only that, he would: speed up the pace, steal the ball, give more assists, give more ally oops and give more pick n' rolls. There's nothing to figure out. All Thibs has to do is make these changes and increase the rotation including adding Landry Shamet, Ariel Hukporti & Tyler Kolek with more minutes. Then it would be like the Knicks have TWO good teams instead of one along with speed, defense, athleticism, rebounding, shot blocking & creating turnovers.

P. I would pass on Jordan Clarkson. The Knicks have plenty of guards...some of whom Thibs doesn't want to use for some odd reason. He barely plays Cameron Payne as it is. The Knicks should go for one of these guys: Collin Sexton (a guard Thibs would HAVE to play & who can score at a high level consistently), Wendell Carter, Jakob Poeltl, DeAndre Ayton, Nic Claxton and Jalen Duren. And of course we need Donte DiVincenzo. I feel the same way about Julius Randle. Minnesota's coach just seems unable to use them. In fact, if it was me, I would fire him the way that Sacramento moved on from Mike Brown (though I don't think it was Mike Brown's fault necessarily). Donte isn't just a 3 point shooter. He can give assists, defend, get out in transition, drive to the basket and finish off passes at the rim. Look at how the Knicks seemed to be in trouble against the Orlando Magic in the first half without either of the team's 2 stars. We need a center and a guy who can score / defend. That would result in better rim protection, more turnovers, getting in the passing lanes, steals and 2nd chance points.

Knicks are in fact desperate for another bench scorer. Last in the entire league at 19 PPG 5 PPG away from the 2nd to last at 24 PPG (Lakers). So we should be desperate to trade for extra bench help. The narrative that we shouldn’t be desperate for extra help as if Shamet and Mcbridge are enough is absolutely foolish.. I don’t know why you are worried about Duece getting a big contract when he’s a free agent. He hasn’t shown IQ level of play at all. Should’ve signed Malik Beasley last offseason.
