You live in the north hemisphere so the sun hits your south facing window more directly than the north. It would be flipped if you lived in the southern hemisphere
@jekanyika Жыл бұрын
15:04 If you are in the northern hemisphere the southside will get more light because that is the direction of the equator.

Love NYC. But, honest question: How does one afford approx. $4,000 a month for rent as a single person? That's not including utilities, groceries and money for daily fun and activities.
@Zoe-rb5kv Жыл бұрын
Salaries tend to be higher, but its still a lot of money, people either budget or are in debt lol a lot of ppl can't afford it. Many people commute, you can find something livable in queens for around 2500, but commute to Manhattan is like 45 minutes.

This broker fee business is CRAZY!!! It looks like I'd be beating feet, doing my own homework, hunting for a NYC apartment! Thanks for the update.
@AudraGibson Жыл бұрын
So many apartments in NYC charge you a broker fee regardless of whether you use one. It’s absurd.
@thoughts38972 жыл бұрын
Ridiculous costs now to live in Manhattan. Can't even imagine having as much as $13,000 upfront to rent an apartment for a year. Crazy.

You’re literally living my dream!! I just left from visiting nyc last month for my birthday and might be going back to see MJ and Six for my high school graduation/ 19th birthday gift with my mom and godmother. It’s my dream to one day live in nyc in a few years I hope! 💙🥹

Lol, here I am complaining about $2000 1 bedroom apartments in the city. This was a good video! I live in Harlem, rent is going to high and it's causing a lot of businesses to shut down because the rent is so high.

Hi, from the Netherlands. I do not know who you are but loved watching your video. I love watching everything NYC. Maybe in my next life I can live there. Haha. But first hope to visit sometime. Hope you have a happy, healthy and great life in NYC in your (new) appartement.

Omg hi, I’m also from the Netherlands and obsessed with nyc lol. I hope that I can live there when I’m older, that would be so cool. (Ik weet niet waarom ik Engels praat terwijl je wss Nederlands kan maar goed )

4000$ for a studio?!?! How much money does the average person make over there?? That's insane, I thought Amsterdam was expensive haha
@peterparker84542 жыл бұрын
Insanely expensive, NYC was my heart and soul but sheeeesh
@kayflip22332 жыл бұрын
Many people have roommates or live with their partner. Also, there are lots of jobs paying $150k+ and lots of people in tech or high finance making $300k-$700k. Definitely enough high paying jobs for people to fill up Manhattan. Then you have the rest of the boroughs and tri state area as well, which are cheaper. It's primarily upper middle class to rich people living in Manhattan proper. People in the top 5% of earners in the US.
@criso79472 жыл бұрын
The price so high because of the area. Uptown is less expensive.
