This film is the first part of two showing the IRT Pelham Line during the summer of 2015.
The Pelham Line runs in the Bronx from Third Avenue-138th Street to Pelham Bay Park and is served by 6 local and (during weekdays) express trains.
The line runs underground until Whitlock Avenue, from whereon it runs on an elevated structure. From the platforms at Whitlock Avenue one has a magnificent view on the line as it crosses the Bronx River.
This part of the film shows some 6 Train action at Whitlock Avenue and Elder Avenue stations. As this has been filmed on a Saturday, there is no express service and all trains are running on the local tracks.
