It’s so refreshing to see such a content creator showing their real struggles as a KZbinr. So often I see influencers vlog their daily life especially in New York so perfectly it’s definitely nice to see a more genuine perspective. Loving this content.

i've never commented on a yt video before, but this video really moved me to. i stumbled upon your channel looking for notion content to try and figure out how to better organize my life, but i've really stayed for your vlogs/videos and their authenticity and openness. as someone in their late 20s, about to graduate from a phd program and really considering for the first time "what's next?", a lot of the struggles you talked about really resonated with me. thank you for being so honest and open about your journey and for sharing it with all of us

oh wow this is wayy too relatable! I was recently diagnosed with ADHD as a woman in her late 20s, honestly almost everything you said really resonated with me (and was what led me to be tested / seek a diagnosis). I know I'm a stranger on the internet, but I would definitely recommend looking more into it if you continue to struggle with organizing your thoughts and feeling generally overwhelmed now that you're working for yourself. symptoms are super noticeable once a structured routine is taken away. regardless, I hope you can find the peace and stability that you're looking for as you develop your new routine and lifestyle, rooting for you 🙌❤!!

I am professionally diagnosed and undergoing treatment 😅 it helps but as you said, symptoms are very noticeable with lack of structure. I’m glad the ADHD’ness comes through because part of my hope with this channel is bringing awareness to these issues while still showing you can pursue your dreams and live a good life! 😊

This was such a nice vlog, and all in all your channel is so good, absolutely one of my favorites. As a 30+ old person it is so nice to see content from someone who is of my age and who I can, in many ways, relate to - as you said in the video, so many content creators are 20-somethings who are at a very different stage in their life. Thank you for this video and all your videos Wesley!

For a long time I felt like I was “too old” for KZbin, but then realized that just meant there wasn’t enough representation out there yet. We never outgrow the need for connection or entertainment. I’m glad you’re here 🫶🏻

Wesley, you're quickly becoming one of my favorite creators. When I went freelance a few years ago, my friend told me: it's so great to be your own boss... and then you realize you're also your own employee haha. The chat at 21:36 reminded me of a mindfulness principle that I love. The point isn't not focusing, emptiness, or lack of distractions. The point is REfocusing amidst distractions, REstructuring and REorganizing amidst chaos. It's the bringing the mind back that builds the strength. With no outside (or inside) temptations & distractions, the practice wouldn't be strengthening us. 🤎

Oof that first part hits hard! 😩 it’s so bittersweet fr. And I love the mindfulness tip-I definitely struggle with rigid thinking and trying to learn to be more in “flow” but pivoting in the moment is such a skill!

Hey Wesley! I don't usually leave comments but I always love watching your content. - I refer to your Notion videos again and again whenever I want to re-do my own internal Notion dashboard :") but just wanted to say that I feel like I'm going through a similar phase of life too where I'm very much "figuring things out" but at the same time I also know I'm putting all this pressure on myself to have a super-amazing-perfect-life-game-plan when really I feel like I may not actually need one after all. similar to you I feel like I know what I can do, what I like, have goals for myself and so I know I'm driven and ambitious enough to achieve what I want to achieve. All this to say, love the effort you're putting into content and being so raw, and authentic with us (bc I know that takes so much courage!!) and as someone who is super inspired by you, I hope that you don't put so much pressure on yourself - bc everyone is a work-in-progress (forever)! :)

Honestly I’m not sure what the difference is between you and the likes of Anna heid, Brooke miccio, just something very different about your channel and I like it! The amount of selfies they take of themselves (Anna more than Brooke) it’s a wonder they haven’t needed shoulder surgery from holding up the camera🙄

It may be helpful for you to have a day job because a day job guarantees regular pay. Full-time or part-time, it's all regular pay. It seems like you used to work as a designer or something, so that's more skilled labor/white-collar labor. So, you probably have no problem getting back into the workforce... I hope. Then you can live off the income. Then in your spare time or free time, you do your KZbin stuff. Whether the KZbin stuff generates an income doesn't matter. You still get paid from your day job.

I tried this for several years and it's totally a viable path. But it's always been a dream to work for myself, and given that finding and starting another job in my field will take 6+ months, I wanted to see how far I could go if I put all my energy into YT for once. I'm open to going back to a 9-to-5 if it doesn't work out though!

Starting is so hard. I also end up in the trap of Starting. Edit those vlogs. There is no such a thing as having vlogs come out late. They are your vlogs. It's your life. Do something how it works for you
