Try the A.P.D.G foundations for the darkest shades. The shade range for us dark skins goes very deep and the darkest one looks almost black!! Please try it!!

Please keep up the testing for darkest shade and more tutorials on color correction for darker complexions it is so needed. Thanks for what you already do. I have tried some of your tips and so far they have worked, like pulling off nude lipsticks and drugstore highlights for darker skin!

I get real happy when a foundation matches you, because it is complicated for both dark and light skin to find a foundation that matches....

I was just going to say that I am very fair, but I love watching these videos, because companies that do a great job with deep/very deep shades seem to have a higher chance of making great very fair/fair shades, too. This company doesn't seem to have understood undertones well(it was very red, not neutral at all), so I wouldn't bother to try it on my fair neutral skin. They would likely get the undertone wrong for me, as well.

Weird undertones too!!! I am olive/yellow. Not so easy for Western foundations. Yay actual shade ranges!

fnrsgrl I am in the same boat re Nyma's videos! Also I tested the lightest shade of this foundation and it seemed like a decent match for my very fair, cool-toned skin, at least in the weird lighting at Ulta, so yes, they seem to be struggling with what "neutral" means.

Agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee so much!!! Finding the perfect foundation shade is never easy no matter what side of the shade spectrum a person is on. I’ve spent ungodly amounts of money on drugstore and department store foundations that never match me at all. Make up has been around for sooooooooo, SO damn long and it’s about time that the beauty industry really becomes ALL INCLUSIVE for ALL undertones, ALL skin tones, and ALL skin types. They have the money and technology to do it. Time is money, but in the end, the consumers will be more than happy to pay for something that works for them 100%

I must say, you're absolutely beautiful. I love everything you're about even though we're so different! I'm so pale I've only found one foundation that I can work with without mixing white in it. Thank you for bringing out the lack of foundation shades even with big brands! Mixing white in a foundation is pretty easy, so I really appreciate that you have the dark beauties' back 💕Your voice is the most soothing I've ever heard and that backround is life! 💖

Her skin is very beautiful. Her face is a few shades darker than the rest of her though. She has hyperpigmentation too, so I'm guessing that's what she's remedying.

I know just what you mean. Nyma has about as opposite a skin tone to mine, yet we both both struggle to find the right shade and formulation. It's really satisfying to see her searching through foundations to get tge best match, plus it's really helpful to know more brands you can recommend to your friends or clients. I also really enjoy watching what products such as eyeshadows, blushes and lipstick work on both her skin and mine. It opens up your mind to new possibilities you might not have considered before. The more pressure we all put on make-up companies to produces the full range of skin tones, the better it is for everyone. In this day and age we all should be able to walk in a department store, or somewhere like Sephora, and walk out with the perfect foundation for the shade, undertone and formulation for your skin. If we all stick together on this we can effect change much more quickly.

I loved the way it looked right after application, but the powder made it worse. I agree with blendability issues! I think in the end it kind of made you look older? Which is weird because I’ve never seen that before on you. I love your series and you so much! Even though I am transparent white and could make thewhitest shade series personally but I just find you to be so captivating and this series is so informative for me as an aspiring MUA because it teaches me a lot about darker shades as well.

The similarities between the NYX and Dermablend aren't surprising because they're both L'Oreal brands. Lancome even had a similar product a few years back, but with a less extensive color range
