I know Andy had a long way to go on his road to redemption and he would fall off the wagon again, but these scenes with Andy Jr. (and along the way solving that kidnap case) were where you saw that down deep he was a good man. Thanks for posting these!

Yeah! You fall down many times. You get up. It will be weighted and harder each time. You get up. You carry that weight and you hold on to each precious moment where you *didn't* fall. You try too to stay Thankful. If you think you're going to decide not to get up: GET HELP. Talk to someone. Cry with someone. Laugh with someone until... You can get up. The song: I'm Still Standing by Elton John may take on a new meaning for you. After many falls, I am still standing. Stay Safe! 👍

What a wonderful and tender moment between Father and Son. So much went on in this Arc of a story between Both Andy's. But that moment when Junior can smile at Senior and Dad's face and eyes go "Soft" is a Keeper for BOTH! Bet that ride back to Jersey was very warm and comfortable! Cheers From Ohio

Andy made a hell of an impression on his son that he went to become a cop himself. A damned shame it ended the way it did

Andy was like one of those Popeye punching bags with the round bottom. No matter how hard you hit, it would right itself for another blow. His losses and wins were the staple of a fantastic series. Franz manifested Sipowicz's strengths and weaknesses admirably.

This is why Andy became a surrogate dad and father to me during a low time in my life, cos my father and stepfather never said to me what Andy said to Andy Jnr and I wish they had. God bless you, Andy - you were the father I would have been proud and glad to have in my life, when I needed it most.

Michael deluise is such an underrated actor. Playing Andy’s son. He and his brother were in 21 jump street. Wayne’s world. Sea quest. Then playing Luke’s goofy brother in law in Gilmore girls. All three of Dom Deluise kids are good actors

Andy Jr looks much older in these scenes than I remember.

What kind of role model is he setting as a father or police officer when he doesn't buckle up before starting the car? 😂 As so many have said, Dennis Franz really did a fantastic job with his portrayal of Sipowicz.

Must be nice to have a Cop as A Father, makes you wander how much this happens in real life..no one should get special privileges

Old school policing. What happens if your dad can't fix an arrest? I guess you do the time like the rest of us. I know it's a tv show.

Cause the actor wasn't available anymore. I think he did seaQuest or something couldn't do NYPD blue anymore

@@Bull1908 As much as I liked seaQuest, I think the actor might've made a career misstep on that one.
@Bull19083 жыл бұрын
@@WhiteScarsEmo I don't think Andy Jr was ever going to be a long term character for the series. He was already going to be in Hackensack PD when he died, so I don't think he would have miraculosly made it to be working with his father on NYPD Blue. Even in death Andy Jr kept an arms length relationship with his father, watch the one where Andy dreams of him in death that aired as Andy Jr's farewell episode.
