Medavoy knew it was a bad story to tell the son and tried to downplay it at first. But once he started telling the story he got lost in the humor of it all and forgot his audience. But it was a funny story

Is there a continuity error on the part of the writers? Coz in an earlier episode when Andy called Clark Sr Dutch Boy, Greg asked Andy if he and Clark Sr had a previous beef. If Greg had known about Dutch Boy, he wouldn't have asked the question, would he?

I think Medavoy's "You got history?" was more based on Clark Sr.'s specific response to being called that by Sipowicz, who can't be the only cop still digging that up once in a while to poke at Clark Sr.
