13:22 - It's not P(A | B) = P(A) x P(B), but instead P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B) to check for independence. The numbers he plugged in were correct, but the formula was incorrect.

That or a(n+1)=a(n)+1
@junnanshimizu76735 жыл бұрын
23:53 - I don't think that's right. To find the a2, you need to use a1. But if you plug in a2, you don't use a1 to find a2 and instead you are left with an unknown variable to find an unknown variable

The subscript should read n+1. Sorry about that - need to edit this video in my files and fix that.

Isn't P(A|B) = 70/180? I think P(A&B) = 70/490. They are still not equal so the final answer I agree with.
@NYSMathRegentsPreparation5 жыл бұрын
That is indeed what is written in the video :) Both the work shown and the answer are correct
@patf75705 жыл бұрын
@@NYSMathRegentsPreparation yes, but when writing formula for independence, it is P(A&B)= P(A) x P(B). But when stating the formula, you wrote P(A|B) instead of P(A&B).

for number 33 when you plug in h and k, you forgot about the other h in -4hx.
@NYSMathRegentsPreparation4 жыл бұрын
-4xh is not a like term when compared to what we are looking for, so we actually do not need to worry about that term. :)

it's right because they're asking for a value for t that makes 2=0. Only 4 works in this case
