Black Orchid's not a true historical - the events, characters and locations are entirely fictitous and, whilst we're nominally in 1926, it may as well be any time in England where posh people played cricket and held garden parties - which could be just about any time in the past two hundred years. True historicals have at least some connection to genuine historical people, places and events (e.g. the burning of Rome, Marco Polo, Culloden), but Black Orchid doesn't. It's more of a period whodunnit than anything else.

Lalla Ward (Princess Astra & 2nd Romana) was my favorite British woman in the world when I was a child in the 1970's & teenager in 1980's. When she left Dr Who Sarah Sutton automatically became my 2nd favorite British woman during those 2 decades. Sarah Sutton is now currently the female celebrity I want to clone the most with a copy of Nyssa. Just like in the movie, "Radio Rebel", when Stacy has the house party to prove Tara & Radio Rebel were the same person & Tara shows up Stacy calls into the show. Tara's best friend Audrey asks Tara how she's at the party & radio station at the same time. I want people at conventions to ask how Sarah Sutton is there as a woman in her 60's & as a girl in the first half of her 20's at the same time?
