I definitely think you should acquire physical media for favorite movies while you are able. We are in danger of losing the ability to watch obscure, indie, controversial, or outdated movies if we rely streaming services to provide them.
@maddieb.42823 жыл бұрын
Completely agree, I would rather not allow a random Disney executive to decide what films we’re allowed to see.
@coffinfeeder77323 жыл бұрын
With physical media, so long as it’s intact, it’s yours forever. No one can decide you have to pay monthly fees to view it, only for it to be cycled out of the catalogue for that month. The company that licenses it to you also can’t decide you shouldn’t be able to access it if you acquired it through their service (see the guy who had over 20k dollars of media through Apple locked out) It’s why I’m trying to buy as many physical copies of games, music, and movies I can find for reasonable prices. Sure there’s emulators, okay quality mp3 files, and special movie sites online, but anything that can be willed away by a few pieces of legislation is probably not the best thing to hinge your bets on.

It's always a good time for Jodorowsky. "You are excrement. You can change yourself into gold." Martyrs, the works of John Waters, fucknuns of any type, Perfect Blue, Lynch's films, the Greasy one, Salo, and so many more are must see films for people really into quality "cult" cinema . You have a great collection May, or as I refer to you, Miss Fears. I was really happy to jettison all my physical media over the years in favor of a really large solid state hard drive with high res files of all my favorite films. It can be hard to let go of physical media, bit when you finally do it feels great. Please don't let anyone touch your childhood bone. Also Miss Fears, if you are subscribed to David Lynch's daily weather reports and number of the day you are really missing out. It is adorable and Mr. Lynch in daily 1 minute servings. I don't need to know the weather in LA, as I live in North Carolina, but there is something really calming about the ritual of tuning I'm every day to hear about the blue skies and sunshine while marveling at the magnificent beard he is cultivating.
