Yes it's very nice and very impressive I wish I could have had stayed in my karate class the way how you tick control in the way how you pin your opponent down the right way and the way how you performed you got to do it tight you got to stay strong you got to get them down and hit them hard I just wish I could have had done those type of things when I was in my karate could have helped you could have gave me control it could have gave me greater power and greater mobility and greater strength and most importantly greater greater skill in combat all depends how judo and karate to bind together they make a very powerful force to be reckoned with that's why I should have stayed in karate nevertheless it is amazing very nice indeed impressive 🥋🙏😌🙏🥋

Great highlights - but zero footage of the women??!!

Yes that’s correct ✅ I was just filming my own club members, (no female adult competitors) and anyway they only have a third of the numbers as males, and the few female high performers are mostly overseas on the circuit etc! (Moira Koster, not our club but Christchurch, and doing great 😊) I blinked and missed the females adults and was busy running coaching barely covering 2 mats, on the day, we were busy.

Fair enough - it’s hard to retain women in this sport. A lot of fantastic uchi mata action btw. 4:59 is awesome!

Yes our only 2 seniors last year that lasted, when one started her family, the other dropped out! Easier in clusters etc just like all. It's very male dominated in our dojo but I hope the girls come through, to become seniors, it takes a leader among them and the social aspect plays larger in my opinion, in females sports. High performance sometimes works against you, with the challenges and regular praise/boosting of ego not my natural mode, however in my assessment as a qualified High School teacher, a real part of maintaining inclusion for the females. (verbal positive reinforcement of skill acquisition works wonders, even though it is a kinaesthetic appreciation we seek as judoka)
