NZ Kayak Fishing for Squid! (Successful Squid Fishing!)

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I found an opportunity to finally take out my kayak after a very long time waiting and decided to try and use it to catch some squid. At first, I thought I was going to face challenges that I never would have expected but it turns out, kayak fishing for squid was very straight forward: Find a good weed line and fish around it and the squid will likely to turn up.
Cannot wait to try more of this next winter

I have been softbaiting off to the left of the marina in Gulf Harbour, and felt this weird tugging on my lure as I was retrieving it. It's happened a few times. Turns out it was squid as they were coming right to the surface.
