Thanks for this guys. It brought back a lot of memories for me. In the 80's I had 2 RX 3's. I had a 73 that I blew the motor in and then found a smashed 74 with a good motor and switched it to the 73. Trouble was Mazda had changed motors and wireing between the 73 and 74. Cheers from Canada.

This brings back memories. Back in the early '70s a friend let me use his two rotor Mazda wagon to go visit my parents. I drove 100 miles and it only took 10 gallons of gas.
@tenmillionvolts5 жыл бұрын
Worth it! A friend of mine had a worked RX7 (yep, in NZ) that he put up against every car that would take him on. Never beaten. Passed eveything but gas stations :-) Snapped the speedo needle from hitting the end stopper so often (true story). Never blew the motor (built right). Got stolen. Trailered out from under his window at night, real professionals. We choke up thinking about it. Loved that car.

@alexbrown19955 жыл бұрын
Many years ago there was a tradition amongst RO80 owners. If they saw another RO80 they'd hold up a hand with a number of fingers erect. The number of fingers was the number of engines they'd had in their cars. I haven't seen a RO 80 in decades.....
