You know what? I think it's time I saw a massive thank you. I was born with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and had lived with it up to the age of about 30 when I started going very downhill. I went from mild to moderate pain all of the time, while taking a medication or three, to being bedridden and wheelchair bound over the last 7 years. I've since fallen ill with two other autoimmune diseases and all three pile exhaustion into the mix. Anyway, I'll get fo my point. I LOVE woodworking. I always have and I'm pretty sure I always will. Sadly, both because my diseases won't allow for it, AND because being unable to work makes it impossible to afford the room, let alone the tools, to create such things, I am pretty confident I'm never going to be able to do much in the way of woodworking in the future. This is where you come in Nick. I'm so thankful that you share your work, and your process with us. Because you do, I get to feel some of the fun of woodworking, even if it is only second hand. I get to watch the wood and resin and other materials become something bigger than their parts, something someone will love for a long time, and likely something that will be cherished by the children and possibly even children's children of the person who gets one of your pieces. I feel that in every completed piece as much as I feel the love you put into each one. Because of you, I get to feel, if even a little bit, the joy I feel when I did wood projects when I was a kid. It's to the point that when I'm allowed to buy new art supplies again (I got the Jazza's Art Box so I'm on art material probation for awhile... so we don't go broke lol) I'm really thinking about getting a little hand carving set, and sending my son out for fallen sticks. You helped me realize this, and if I somehow end up finding some kind of notoriety with my carving, you better believe I'm going to mention you every chance I get lol. So again, thank you. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you, for sharing in your process, the good and the in-between stages, and also the projects that didn't work. Thank you for letting me partake in woodworking, where I couldn't have otherwise. And most of all, thank you for being you, and making it a fun and sometimes silly process for everyone. You truly are an amazing person. I want to also extend this Thank you to @Charlie the Maker. He has also helped me realize that we shouldn't let things like age, or in my case, disease, get in the way of making wood based projects. Charlie, your work is very good for people of any age, and phenomenal for someone of yours! Keep up the awesome work and the awesome personality/attitude. Thank you. Both.

You’ve inspired me to try and make boxes! My mom passed away a few years ago and we loved to shop at thrift stores and flea markets. She always would find these old cool wooden or tin boxes and give them to me for Christmas or birthdays. This would be such a fun way to reconnect 😊 and of course learn new skills in the shop. Thanks for all the awesome videos and for branching out with videos like these and the restoration videos. Stay funky! 💃🏻

I love them all. The button one is my favorite. It reminds me of my Grandma. It is an awesome idea. I wish I had one. I miss her so much even after all these years. I was the 2nd grandchild but the first granddaughter. My birthday is Christmas Eve. She always helped make my birthday so special as well as Christmas. I always got to go through her button box and then my Mom and my Aunts made sure I was given her button box when she passed. I lost the box when I lost my storage unit. You really brought up some incredible memories as I watched you make the button box. 😺❤🤗❤ Thank you for sharing. I will always remember the button box you made.
