@Nick - if you soak the laces in slow curing resin under vacuum for a while, won't it get rid of most of the air bubbles issues you are having? I understand that it is much messier to then continue with the project like you do. Just thought it might help with the air problems in the pressure pot?

I was looking at the bottom of the bowl and I got a flash of an idea. It kinda reminded me of a bowling ball. It would be kinda cool to have you actually MAKE a resin bowling ball. Maybe even a clear one with a skull in it like in Mystery Men. I just read this comment to my husband and he went it one better. An LED light inside that makes the eyes glow red whenever the ball moves. It could even be the kind that motion CHARGES the battery, kinda like a self winding watch. That way it could be permanently encased in resin, but never run out of power.

What if, instead of "another bowl" (you seem to be getting bored of making everything into a bowl), you made a lampshade out of the bowl shape....I think the light projecting through some of your projects would highlight the trapped articles included in the resin nicely.

Hi Nick from the Netherlands! If you want to do blanks to reduce resin waste, which I would recommend. In this case, try using another, smaller bowl. If it floats, weight it a bit. If it sinks to the bottom, just remove some weight. You'll save time turning it, and save money not using as much resin.
